An Aerofax publication by Yefim Gordon this book covers the history of this significant Soviet fighter aircraft. A soft bound book of 160 glossy pages 'Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-15' is illustrated with many black and white photos of the early prototypes and production aircraft, experimental versions, export models and Korean War examples.
The final section of the book has colour plates, b & w line drawings and colour drawings of paint schemes. My only criticism from a modellers point of view is that the paint scheme drawings are side elevation only. To build a model in some of the more interesting camouflage schemes would require further reference material.
The very readable text is supported with specification tables, production figures and serial data.
An essential reference for anyone building a MiG, and a good read for anyone simply interested in this period of aircraft development.
