Have you ever wondered what your model will look like when it is painted? And have you ever been disappointed that you got the contrast a bit wrong or the colours a bit off? This clever online tool might be of some help!

The colorserver.net website contains all the colour samples that are in the FS 595 standard and will, of course depending on you monitor´s quality and settings, give you an accurate on screen colour sample.

It also allows you to combine different colours in a very simple way so that you can see what they look like together and finally, you can browse through the different base colours.

Making the site even more useful is the ability to link to any sample or combination that you want, here are some examples:

Israeli F-4 camouflage: http://www.colorserver.net/showcolor.asp?fs=30219 33531 34227
Luftwaffe 74/75/76: http://www.colorserver.net/showcolor.asp?fs=36081 26132 36473
RAF Battle of Britain: http://www.colorserver.net/showcolor.asp?fs=30095 34079 34583
SUMMARY
Highs: Very simple to use and free for the user. Puts the otherwise rather expensive FS 595 fan deck within reach of every computer user!
Lows: Colour sample stays on screen. It can be printed but with great loss of accuracy on any standard printer.
Verdict: This is a useful tool for all modellers and you really ought to try it out!
