by: Stephen T. Lawson [ JACKFLASH ]

When the old Cross & Cockade USA closed operations back in 1985, a group of former editors invested some of their own money and viola the society became the league of extrordinary aero historians.

For twenty-two years the organization has stayed healthy and has had its fair share of troubles. Yet quarterly every issue has some of the best research and history ever seen in any venue. All chocked full aviation history from every corner of the globe, all dealing with 1914-1918.

As a long time supporter and contributor I have seen some great stories unfold from thse historical texts. I have the pleasure of know many if not most of the top contributors and have been able to share and glean nuggets of historical information that I could not have found elsewhere.

They are as of this writing on a very current schedule for deliveries and the price you pay for the subscription is well worth the information you get in return. Unit histories, Personal reminicenses, colour documentation, technical diagrams and previously unpublished images are the keys to this publication's successes.

In the issue you can find:

Cover-Fred Murrin flying a Nieuport 11

Official Records Of The 141st Aero Squardron
Letters, Diary, And Reminiscences of 2nd Lt. Horance Hallock Brown, 414st Aero Squadron Both by Allan Zakrzewski

Jasta 64w "Eight Months In The Field Of Thorns" by Stephen T. Lawson

Caught. . . On Film: Jasta 64w Fokker D.VII by Terry Phillips

Rare Birds: Fokker C.I by Jack Herris

Rare Birds: Fokker V.7 1/48th Scale Drawings by Martin Digmayer

Snoopy And The Red Baron Revisited by Wade Eakle

Back Cover - Fokker C.I illustrations by R.N. Pearson
