What about aviation of the twenties, filmed in the thirties. Only angels have wings!

If you haven't cried before, this is the time and place. I'll bring the hankies....

Been busy with work over x-mas! Should be back to normal soon, or as normal as it can be... Started to tooling around, fanny about with a Mossie (will becoame a BOAC crate in time), a '190D-9 (JV44 "Red 13")and a '109K-4 (a "Yellow 13") in 1/48....maaaan it's been a while since I did this, raised panel lines were still the norm, the Navy was doing its best to catch Blackbeard and the gang....

Next round is on me...!

I find myself in a dark corner booth of the cafe in a with about 13 of the all-girl ground crew from the Early Aviation hangar, belatedly celebrating my 53rd birtthday. Hot and fresh classic Chicago style pizza's, beer, wine (red Spanada), Tuscany red sauce pastas with mushrooms, black olives, and expreso coffees with birthday cake - 4 layer German chocolate. Ya'll come on over and join us there is plenty for everyone.

Tonight's Cinema delights are The Godfather I, II, & III.

Wow, Terri. Glad you liked it. Felt a bit like boot camp inspection there.

Anyway, what about a double? Flyboys and Der rote Baron, back to back. Unfortunately they shot the Baron movie in english, so the german version is dubbed but I guess english will have to do. After all, it's the stringbags we want, isn't it?

No chicken soup, the only thing needed is my hot aunts hot tea.

Pour half a mug of tea and fill up with a quarter of milk and a quarter of whisky. Add three or four cubes of sugar, and make sure to drink it before it really is cold enough to drink. Hot hot hot, is the key And the next morning you're in good shape to change the bedsheets, which by then will be very needed.

Get well Stephen

Waahayyyy.....! Survivee my 40th yesterday! Now I'll finally find out if life DO begin at 40...! All the drinks are on me! Let the 50's and 60's stream out from the jukebox! Still have trouble convincing that I'm 40 at my work, keep asking if a Swedish year is 18 instead for 12 months....

I'm a tad older than that!!!. Happy belated birthday.

As it's Burns night it's only correct that tonights fare is Haggis, Bashed Neeps and Tatties. All served with Onion Sauce and washed down with liberal quantities of your favourite Malt Whisky.

Braveheart as the film maybe?

I'm ok with whisky, and I'm ok with Braveheart, but haggis scares the living sh*t out of me, and I haven't even tried. How much of the brown liquid extras does it take for a wee foreigner to live through a plate of haggis?

Happy 40, by the way. Life doesn't really start there, but it does pick up the pace. And a swedish year is exactly the length you want it to be. However it's allways two months of winter, two weeks of spring, two days of summer....and guess the rest

Resten misstankar jag ar den alltid omtyckta arstiden om jag inte minns alldeles galet...! Som Ostersundare sa har man sett allt!
The rest is I suspect the always loves season of if I remember correctly...
As an Ostersundare, I've seen it all!

Jajjamensan. Hösten var ordet. Ruggigt väder, men vackra färger om solen vågar sej fram!

Yupp. Autumn it is. Creapy weather, but beautiful colours when the sun in't too shy.

We have got ice for the ginandtonic though. Roughly 6" with clear top. That's nice.

So if anybody needs a cube, I can fix it.

And life below is easy to get up. Only ten people and eight hours was needed to get this beauty up on top. Roughly a pound, but it didn't end up on my table.

But I'm a Smålander, so I'm never satisfied !
