UK hobby shop chain Modelzone has teamed up with Revell to produce a special limited run of the Revell 1/48 scale P-47N Thunderbolt.
Roden has given us a great all-plastic basic kit at a fine price. No brass photoetch, but most average modelers need a basic all plastic kit with little rigging like this to have as a premier build.

Eduard have a packed line-up planned for Christmas, with WW1 modellers doing especially well thanks to quarterscale Albatros D.I and D.IIs, plus a 1/72 scale Nieuport Ni-23 double pack. Two 1/72nd scale release's from Planet Models for those of us who like the "not seen a lot" kits.
First up is a brand new mould of the Messerschmitt M20 b-2, which was a light transport aircraft used by Lufthansa.
This kit has never been released before in 1/72nd scale.
Last but not least is the SIAI- Marchetti SF-260M. The Marcetti is a popular aircraft with military and airline flight school's, it is also used by aerobatic teams.
This is a re-edition of 20 + year old CMK model, with corrected nose and some other improvements.

Airfix are back, thanks to Hornby who saved them from certain extinction. Airfix have released four new sets, well nearly new, as they are repackaging some of their older kits as diorama sets. The pre-formed bases can be painted to provide a diorama area to place the models in each set onto. Hopefully these sets will tempt a new generation of model builders into the fold.

Journey with me back to 2003 to the Mystery Mountain Ranch in Southern Caifornia to the movie set that served as a partial re-make of the 1927 movie "Hell's Angels". The 10 day movie shoot was to be incorporated in the modern telling of the life of multi-millionaire Howard Hughes, "The Aviator".
