Master Details have released new resin horizontal tail surfaces set for Special Hobby's popular 1:32 F-2A Buffalo kits.

Brewster's beefy F-2A Buffalo was obsolete at the beginning of World War Two and was no match for Axis fighters. However, this stubby little fighter managed to soldier on and take a toll in the early months of the war in battles such as Wake Island with the US Navy and particularly in Burma in the hands of British pilots. A good number of Buffalos were used in training squadrons as well. Special Hobby makes a nice kit of the F-2A Buffalo but the horizontal tail surfaces are cast as two-part assemblies, top and bottom, so the elevators are not posable. The Buffalo had control surfaces actuated by cables so, unless the control locks were in place, gravity would cause the elevators to droop when the airplane was parked.
