Wonderful!
This is how a DH2 should be built!
Nah Steve, you won't find RAF wires on a DH2. Far too early. It will have been originally rigged with round wire and cable.
Cheers,
Hugh

Beautiful build Lars of what i would consider a difficult to build and rig model .

The DH2 was known as "the spnning Incinerator" due to a supposed tendency to enter unrecoverable spins and a tendency for the engine to shed cylinders and catch fire. In fact, the spinning tendency was little worse than many contemporary aircraft but the recovery actions were not well understood or taught. The gun as originally fitted could pivot in two axes but it was found difficult to aim so pilots fixed it first so that it would only pivot up and down and finally completely. The aircraft was not a good one to crash land as the engine would move forward in the crash and injure the pilot (could be worse, the engine in the FE2b weighed a lot more and would get two people instead of one). Larsa, the model is superb and I must have one. It won't be as good as yours but I will enjoy it. It will match my Nieuport 16

Larsa,
Your build has inspired me to pick up the weekend edition. I figure no one will expect the same results from the non PE edition
As for the 1/32nd kit by Roden, I will have to see how things play out with other builds I have going. I am greatly looking forward to your Roden version as I know it will be spectacular!
