G'day everyone.
I have an idea that has poped up in my head and would like to share it with you, i have alrady asked the campaign manager and still waiting, but what do you think? Obviously the name is "Phabulous Phantom" at the moment, in honour on one of the best and in my opinoin best looking planes ever,a campaign for annyone that has a phantom model to make. to build as a group and help each other at as we go. i would start it in feb 2008 to around may 2008 at the monet.
Reckon its a good idea?
If so, If not tell me what you think. anny ideas for it feel free to shout it out.
Cheers

Hi James,
Sounds like a good idea to me, so count me in.
With the numerous nations that bought the Phantom the different markings and camo schemes should make this a pretty varied campaign.

Hi all!
As my call-name is Phantom2, you just know that the Phantom is one of my all-time favourites!
I have plenty of kits to choose from, so the difficulty is what version and markings it will be.
So I´m DEFINETLEY in on this splendid idea!
Cheers!

Thanks mate.
Any variant will be allowed to be made, even the QF-4's and RF-4's. but the markings and camoflage scemes must be of that country not made up.
could annyone make this into a ribbon?

I think it would be a good ribbon for annyone who completes.

I could be in for a go, i have a 1/72 in Israeli scheme somewhere in my stash, but I personally think it would need to run for longer than three months. just my opinion though. I'll have a bash at doing the ribbon for you too.

You can definitely count me in on this campaign, I’m to a big Phantom phan. If this goes through I’ll build Tamiya’s 1/32 F-4J, have a boat load of resin and PE for it. By the way I just finished building a set of 1/10 F-4B Ejection seats.

Hi James,
An F-4 campaign could be the much needed incentive to get me back on the campain wagon, having been on hiatus for almost a year... I've always admired this particular aircraft!

Since Sweden did not acquire any Phantoms, I would go for an Israeli F-4E from 1973. The campaign should - in my opinion - last at least six months.
Cheers!

That's plenty of time I think, especially with all the campaigns going on right now.

Hello James,
Great idea about Phantom Campaign. You can only upload a ribbon after your campaign has been approved by the Staff who enable that option. As to the image itself if you can shrink the image down (without degrading its quality to much) you should be able to make it work.
Sincerely,
Brian

Hi James!
If you mean me, I didn't received a PM or e-mail yet. Anyway, If you want to submit this Group Build, you can use the appropriate "CAMPAIGNS" link above.
It seems a few people are interested!

Well, I am in for this one as well. I will probably go for a Vietnam Phantom - again

I am a sucker for that US Vietnam camouflage
Good initiative! I can help with the ribbon and some banners. I have some experience.

The best person to speak to would be Jean-Luc (TedMamere) as he is the campaigns co-ordinator there are currently campaigns running until early next year so we would probably find out (i would think) around about Christmas time

Also I believe campaigns only go ahead if there is enough interest, e.g. if more than a certain amount of people are interested.
Hope this helps
P.S. I'm still working on the banners work got a little busy and I never got round to finishing them. Watch this space????

Count me in. I like the ribbon Tomcat31 came up with.
I would like to do a RF4C phantom used by the USAF PolkaDot squadron stationed in Korea, 1/32 or 1/48 scale for a friend. Any suggestions on kits or AM to make it correct and accurate?
