I won't say I told you so. BUT the SSW D.III / IV and DH 2 were in the top 5 choices. the SSW in both 1/48 & 1/32 and the DH 2 in 1/32 from last year's wish list.

Roden is certainly listening to he Moelers! It will be interesting to see if the Siemens sells as well as the more mainstream kits Roden has produced thus far in 1/32nd. As for the DH2, WOW! What abeauty it should be in this scale. All of that rigging, opportunity for wrinkled fabric, etc. I hope we didn't shoot ourselves in the foot by asking for the more unusual aircraft in the survey. I don't remember if the Albatros Dv and Fokker DVII placed?

The DH-2 is so ugly and so ungainly..............that it looks "interesting". "Interesting" is always a good thing. And....................1/32 to boot!

Also on the Roden 'In processing' page is the Beech UC-43 traveller - the military version of the Beech Staggerwing.
Now this is one that makes me sit up and take notice.
But, you know, what is glaringly absent is a Sopwith Triplane in ANY scale!

Same topic was on the "drome " and I pre-order one as well . You have to set up an account first to be able to do it .
Question is , when is the SSW going to be released from Roden !

So where is a 1/32 Albatros D.V? I have been patiently waiting for years. (sigh) I guess I will need to be patient for another year or two.
Well, the thought of building a DH 2 in 1/48th scale is kinda scary. In 32nd, well I'm in for that one.
Roden, D.V. Please. I will get at least five of them. I promise.

Well after having been denied access to this site for some months for the crime of having a hotmail email address - it now seems that Microsoft has been granted a reprieve and I've been allowed in!
I shall behave myself, so that the site's owners will not have cause to regret their generosity.....
On the subject of new stuff, the lateset issue of Windsock announces that the next issue will be totally given over to an exciting new line of kits of unprecedented detail and accuracy. Scale is not mentioned specifically, but indications are that this will continue the march of 32nd scale. As to who the new manufacturer is, the greyed out photograph behind the announcement is clearly of a Junkers JI and is an exact match for this photo on the Vintage Aviators site:
http://thevintageaviator.co.nz/models/models
So I think the source is clear. I have been talking to my bank account (currently in therapy anyway) to try to soften the blow when it comes........

Steward, have you got any cushions, that chair is a bit hard....
Just noticed on the Roden in Process site that the picture of the DH 9 in 48th is back up - allbeit listed as another Bristol Fighter Mk IV!
