These look quite tasty indeed! Between Wingnuts, Roden, Encore, Eduard, Fly and now Karaya I am having
a difficult time keeping up. Throw in the Pheon, Misterkit and Microsculpt folks and my head is spinning. Someone
pinch me and wake me up!

Techmod has just released their kit of the FF-33e in 1/48 scale kit number 41101 and will be avaible through jadar hobbies on Oct 15 / 09 .
After a long two year wait it is finially here . Jadar has pic's of the spruce and PE parts on their web site . I don't know how to post them here , but the kit looks to be very promising .

Hang on to something Nico! It looks like the new mold from MPM is an Albatros C.III and it now has the Special Hobby brand on it.

Not my scale, but let's hope they get the difference correct between the single- and two-gun versions (Type 27 and Type 29). I also wonder if they'll include the different version for the trainer (Type 30).

And here it is. Looks ike we could see it this year.

2. Siemens Schuckert D.III, serial unknown, Jasta 15, flown by Ltn.Vallendor, 1918. (This actually was one of the early production machines flown by Veltjens in Jasta 15. It was later reconditioned to newer production standards).
3. Siemens Schuckert D.III, D.1611/18, Kest 4 b, flown by pilot Kessler, May-June 1918.

Stephen,
Is the diagonal application of the lozenge fabric accurate for the SSW D.III ?

For the top wing, yes. And they have supplied enough decal to do the lower wing spanwise as was done on the original.

I just checked the Roden Website and saw this, "We are glad to inform you that model kit #610 Siemens Schuckert D.III in 1:32 scale is already available."

Word has it that a sample is being readied for the trip to the Aeroscale Hangar #1.

I went to the Euro Scale modelling event last saturday and got me most of the latest releases in which I am interested. So the Fly's Roland DVI b, Special Hobby's Albatros CIII (which looks a lot like a copy of Eduard's earlier release) and Techmod's Friedrichshafen. I also got me a Roland D1 by High Tech for a bargain. Anyway, an image of our presentation:
(The new purchases are very well shown on the chair behind me.)

Here are some sprue shots of the Roden 1:32 SSW D.III. It looks like there will be some concerns about the size and a couple locations of the panel lines. But the size maybe an issue to help modelers using wood grain decals and not lose details. The colours of the lozenge decal seem different than the Roden website.

Not liking how the engine is moulded . And the lozenge does look total different from their site pic's . Either way one will be added to the collection
