Whenyour finished, can I borrow it to enter it in a contest?

Thank you all for your kind comments, they do help a lot, thank you!
Now progress will slow down dramatically. In this stage a lot of small parts have to be added and in between paint has to ba applied. As I use oil colours they need their time to dry and the more layers of colours appliede the more time it neeeds to dry.
Maybe in the meantime I start with the new wing set.

I love the way that you trained spiders to do the rigging. Beautiful.

sorry for being abscent for a while. going into oil needs patience for drying. And my techique with several thin layers of colour needs a lot of patience. But it dries, even if it needs weeks.
In the meantime I could prepare all the matalwork and fittings to be applied. I never imagined of how many pieces such a little bird was put together. For the fittings I use aluminium sheet from candlelights. It is easy available and has an excellent thickness and consistence. Of course it needs a little weathering otherwise it looks to bright.
@ Stephen, training spiders would be a really good businnes idea. Oh my, I could get rich with that...if,....if I only could find out how to handle..... so please, does anyone have good ideas????

Peter,
I totally agree, excellent workmanship. I use the pictures you post of your build as my screensavers to keep me doing my best, I hope you don't mind. I can't wait to see more, the diorama is going to be stunning.
