It´s seen easiest than in other types of engines, like the 410 as Chuck said, but let see.

Well, I have a very old project where I came to the point to install the radios .... and then I quit. Too difficult for my skills. hopefully the CMK set is better than the Verlinden I used then (esp. instructions)

From all my references on German cockpit colors the cockpit of the Bf 109E should be RLM 02, the insturment panel RLM 66 with black bezels.

From all the reference I have Damlier Benz engines were painted gloss black.
