Mark definitely looks to be the man with a plan. I like his approach. (get all those ducks lined up ahead of time)

I'm suffering from PE dependency right now. My model stack includes a number of kits I really want to build but until I have the "right" accessories I can't even bring myself to open the polybags.

So its off collecting PE 'this' and resin 'that' this Summer.

So far its an Mc.200 or a 202 for me (I'm liable to change my mind before October though). Folgore's have the benefit of having lots of after market goodies in support (esp. the Hasegawa kit).

Cheers,
Fred

Here we go again!

Italian aircraft is too good to pass!

I will do either a Mc200 Saetta or Mc202 Folgore from PCM in 1/32 or a Italeri 1/48 CR42 from the Swedish Airforce!

Oh YESSS, i´m in!

Saluto!

Fred,

It looks like you and I have the same affliction. I'll usually hold a model for a year or two and wait to get all of the "goodies" for it to do a superdetailed build. Most OOB builds aren' t challenging or interesting enough for me. I can't wait to see what you've come up with.

@Mark: The kits get expensive once all the "chrome" gets added don't they.

Eduard kits actually don't look so bad from that perspective.

Say, We already have nine builders signed up. (we're in the barn). One more and our campaign is official!

Cheers,
Fred

(bump)

Hope everyone so far has gone to the Italian campaign link and signed up. Last I checked we were still at 9 and holding. One more sign up and we're out of campaign limbo and on our way to the big board!

On a related note, we'll need a ribbon. (Does it need to be a GIF?)

I'm also going to need a Tenente. Any volunteers?

Cheers,
Fred

I can't speck for the others , but I would really enjoy seeing you come up with something in 1/144 scale , you do such fantastic work in that scale way beyond my talents .

Thank you Terri, only problem is theres not much in the way of Italian 1/144 subjects only the Sweet Mc.200, FE resin Mc.202 or Sram Pomilio PE (already started), SIA-7B or Caproni Ca-33.
Hmmm... all the struts and rigging of the Caproni in 1/144 I think will drive me mad
I think for this build I may have to go up a scale and build a Piaggio P-180 Avanti

Hi,

a campaign on italian planes sounds very interesting. I haven´t built a kit for a longer time, but it would be a good point to start again.

I got some nice kits in my stash, including

Hanriot HD 1
Fiat CR 32
Imam Ro 37

Another Option would be a Potez 63-11 in Italian Markings.

Hi Fred
I'm up for this campaign, I have always fancied building something Italian, no idea what mind. I have just gone over to the campaign page Fred, but there is no sign of the Italian Job on there!

That's because this is an old thread. We already ran the campaign from last Fall until the end of the April just past.

... That said, I have plenty of Italian kites in the stash. If there is enough interest we could do a round two this winter.

Cheers,
Fred
