Did you use two different engines? When you write Q-tips for the plugs, is that your technique of shrinking the plastic tubes? (Have to try that). What are using for the tube the iginition wires come out of? Brass tubing? Looks good.
Nope , only one engine ! Was trying out different settings on the camera with the flash and off . Turned out better with the flash on .
Yes , the plugs are made by shrinking the q-tip tubing same method for doing the turnbuckles . I also do this in 48 scale on my engines as well . The iginition tubing was made form alum tubing with the out side sanded down . Lot's of sanding was needed . I first tried to drill out stock rod but conldn't get the hole center

Thanks Carl
As mentioned before I'm going with my own persoanl markings of white fuselage with blue strips , silver/grey wings with black bands on the upper . As for the tail unit just not sure on that part yet .
Yes I'm really looking forward to the WNW kit when it gets released in the new year .

Progress is still being made . Engine is getting it's first layer's of paint so more detail can be added . Smaller cockpit details have been started with adding their detail items . The seat is starting to frustrate the hell out me But I.m working on it , slowly .
I have hit a sang in the build though and need some help . In the Windsock Datafile # 7 page 10 in the top view drawing ( middle one ) on the right hand side shows a tank . Is this for oil ? And does anyone have a view of the right side with the skin off ?
Thanks

Looking forward to the next lot of photos Terri. Keep at it with the seat, they are very frustrating but well worth the effort.

But Carl , where would the cream and sugar go then ?
Thanks for the support Des
Stephen , I have the same pic and it's a great point of ref's . However the detail which I'm looking for isn't in the pic . The engine has been removed along with other items . Thank you for sharing though and always a joy rereading your past builds . Always pick out something new which I didn't notice before .
Well , I'm off to build me an oil tank !

They drank it black. It was to hard to tear open those little packets of sugar with flying gloves on.
Aren't I the repository for useless information?

Migraines are bad. I used to have problems with them. Now, I am no doctor but - Do yourself a favor. If you wake up with a migraine get rid of your pillow. Seriously. If they come on in the day time try wearing sunglasses more often to avoid sunglare. Also get your blood pressure checked sometimes and low dose baby aspirin (81mg) a day with help tremendously. This is what helped me. That and cutting back on (processed) sugar intake. Get better.

Thank -you Stephen . I will get some new pillows next week
Some painting and detailing was accomplished . Still a lot more needs to be done only done about a 1/4 through already .
I will tone down the colour of the taping on the pipes . It doesn't look right to me .

Thanks Mark , I used tamiya tape cut into thin strips with a thin coat of super glue on the back side to hold them in place .

nice work as always Terri,
but why do you have to tape the pipes?
This is something I really don't understand, even if I find that the visual effect of it is very appealing...

You don't have to tape the intakes , but they act as insulation against the colder weather and heat from the engine giving them some protection . If you look at various German aircraft you will see this was done very often , not just on Mercedes motors , but BMW and Astor Hungarian as well .

Thanks Carl ! As it turns out it wasn't a migraine after all . Went to the doc last week and he diagnosed me wrong and a week later I was in the hospital with an infection in my jaw bone which did a lot of damage to the roots of my teeth ( eating them away ) now I have to get teeth pulled which really sucks !
I have gotten a few days in with some more details done and will have pic's up over the weekend some time .
