How this for starters? Could do with some work, not happy with the colours for starters suggestions?
Oh and looking at my tamiya corsair kit I'll not be doing a Janet Jackson on it (chopped and shaped)
I like the look of the panther with it's wings folded. Chance to branch out into jets. I think
Matchbox do an oldie but goodie of this in god's scale.
Tim does the hobbyboss give you a folded option? I looked at the AccMin Avenger but I
wouldn't have the confidence start cutting such a kit.

Yes the Hobbyboss Avenger/Tarpon Mk l gives you the option of displaying with the wings folded. I bought the Italeri TBF/TBM Avenger l a few weeks earlier than the Hobbyboss and was slightly disappointed that it did not provide the option to display the wing folded. I did not fancy hacking away at a perfectly formed wing either. The Italeri Avenger uses the same mould as the Accurate Minitures TBF/TBM Avenger l, but is significantly cheaper in the UK. Both look equally fantastic and I hope I can do them justice. I think I may build them at the same time. The ribbon looks promising, it might be worth reversing the colours so the bird is white against a blue background and red borders. How do you do those ribbons anyway?

Great ribbon. I think a hellcat would be a good bird for this campaign.
I have signed up as well. I am no. 9 - one more and we are official.

Paul, when you get a chance you may want to get this pushed to the campaign page since we now have 10 people signed up. Once it's there I'm sure more people will join.

i've mailed my contact for this group build but they've not replied yet and i dont know why its not moved to the campaigns page as there are 10 people signed up.....
so we'll just have to wait a while longer.
on the bright side i've now got the kit and all the bits and pieces for this build.
