Thanks Dwayne! Ever since I read "The Complete Car Modeler" by Gerard Wingrove and "The Master Scratch Builders" by John Alcorn, I've wanted to do a completely scratch built model. I sure am having a lot of fun with it and appreciate all of my friends here at Aeroscale for the support and encouragement.

Here's a little more PE detail on the cylinders..............

And I painted the engine block and installed the cylinders. Still more things to add on to it. This engine will be my "test" engine. I'm going to put all of the main parts on it and use it as a "stand in" for the final engine as I put the model together so I don't handle the engine I'm going to use in the build too much.

more soon,
Mark

Thanks guys. I appreciate the kind comments. I'm working on the engine a little more today and should have an update today or tomorrow.

Thanks Terri. I have the rocker boxes on the test engine and gave it a quick dark wash so the details would show up in the pictures.

and a bad picture close up of the Austro-daimler logo (I need a better camera)....

I need to redo the bolt heads on the rocker boxes to be a little more accurate, but first well deserved two week vacation with the family. See you when I get back!
