Thanks a lot Terri. I don't know which decals I'll go with yet. Posting my pictures was a big deal - had a hard time getting them to show up on the forum.

LOL Stephen but I think your comment to Terri could very well be a double dog dare as we used to say as kids. Take care my friend.

Hi Ron and welcome.
Your progress so far is looking very good, you captured the wood grain extremely well. Hope to see more progress photos soon, keep up the good work.

:-H Small world isn't it? Mpls is the same place you left, only worse. The club has changed a lot too. A lot of the same faces, but much more new.
Looking forward to seeing some of your work here.
Cheers

Ron,
The cockpit wood grain looks very nice. We're always looking for differing wood grain techniques here. Will you tell us how you did it?

Here's the painted fuselage.
I don't have a clue on how to separate or apply the rib tapes decals. Can someone please explain this to me. Thanks. Ron

The rib tape decals are decals and applied the same as the rest. They go over the ribs on the wings.
So apply the lozenge decals to the wings. When they are dry, apply the rib tapes on top the lozenge where the ribs are. You can check out the other LVG builds hanging around here. Or, if you need a more detailed explanatiion, I can go into greater detail.
The fuselage looks real nice.

Thank you very much Carl - So I'll cut each individual rib tape decal, soak it, and apply it. That really sounds like an intricate and painstaking job; but I'll give it my best shot. Ron

Very nice graining on the fuselage Ron !
Yup , that's how we do the rib tapping . One at a time but looks total cool when done .
Look forward to your next up-date ....
