I was doing some genealogy, searching old papers and found this...

News report from Berlin-
The enemy’s aerial service displayed great activity. Our squadrons gave battle at various points and inflicted upon him heavy losses. For instance, in the region of the front attacked and in that of the Meuse, fifteen enemy aeroplanes were shot down, eight English and three French machines falling within our lines. Lieut. Baron von Althaus put out of action his seventh opponent. We lost no aeroplanes, but some pilots and observers were wounded.

These are actual articles I found in old New York newspapers. It is unfortunate there were no pictures in these old articles. It is interesting to see the American sentiment had not swung over to support the Allied Powers at the time these articles were written.

We have been able to obtain some pictures of 1LT. Baron von Althaus' Albatros Scout, and with a new colorization technique, we will be presenting them as you have never seen them before.
This picture shows the scout undergoing some maintainence. It apparently is awaiting the reatachment of bracing wires before it will again be airworthy.
Again, the bracing wires have not been attached. But the scout is having its twin spandaus boresighted, so it will probably be taking to the skys soon.
In this last picture, we can see more of this very colorful aircraft.

Carl, Looks really nice! I love the scheme! I came close to doing Heldmans D.V when I was frustrated with the wound ribbon on my build. So your Jasta 10 bird almost had a stablemate

Carl, You certainly have created an eyecatcher – the baron would be very pleased I think!
Looking forward to the discovery of more archival colour photographs of the Great War

Edo wanted to see how this one was looking these days. So Edo, this is for you...
Ready for some decals and final rigging. I hope I can find some extra WNW decals.
