Over at Ben Micklem's Tale of Two Tiffies thread, I mentioned that you don't see many Tiffies built. So the thought of a Tiffies GB was sown. I like single mark builds but it can get a bit samey. I like to see a bit of variety.

So I'm proposing a campaign for any A/C designed by Sir Sydney. This could be old Hawker biplanes through Hurricanes, Typhoons and early jets to the Harrier.

There is plenty of scope for all interests and would celebrate the design work of Sir Syd.

To run next year sometime.

It needs a snappy title and a ribbon. Any takers?

My track record when it comes to campaigns hasn't been excellent lately but it sure is an interesting proposal and I am sure that I wouldn't be able to resist pressing the button...

When it comes to snappy titles, well I am Swedish speaking and feel generally un-snappy tonight so I leave that to someone else !

I like the idea of single manufacturer/designer campaigns. I've been thinking of perhaps proposing a Junkers or a Gloster campaign myself at times.

Hawker has a couple of aircraft that I would like to build. The Osprey is one that has been on my list forever (I don't know if Sydney Camm was involved in that one). If I join (it's only a time issue) I would probably go for a Hunter, though. Man, that is one beautiful aircraft!

"Camm-paign" is absolutely brilliant! Starting this fall is not - at least not for me (who is currently at a rate of three models per year and already tied up in too many campaigns). But you speed-builders please go ahead!

@ JayPee: I strongly advise against deciding the timetable around my personal schedule! With two small boys, a demanding job and an equally demanding wife, I have soo little time to this hobby! If, by chance, I manage to squize in a Swedish Osprey (or a Hunter), I would be more than pleased.

Come to think of it, I would probably go for the Swedish cruiser-borne scouting aircraft "S9" Hawker Osprey... Perhaps in a small dio depicting the aircraft's "15 minutes of fame" (spotting and reporting the Bismarck in the initial phase of Operation "Rheinübung" - a report that mysteriously found its way to the British Admirality with well-known consequences)... I already got everything I need to get started... Oh, I want to start straight away!!!


Go ahead! Launch this campaign!!!

I'll see what the consensus is for a start date. Oct 10-Mar 11 is my current suggestion then. Without any other input I'll sumbit this next week.

I have my 2 Campaigns starting in November, but I'll try to squeeze this one in between if this is the concensus.
