Well done Damo, I'd say that earns Austrailia the Aeroscale Ashes. 3-2
Man of the Match? For me it must be Kris for making the least mistakes, even if he is a traitor to his mother country.
Bloody rain break!! In Austrailia?
Mind you the news of the floods in Queensland is shocking. We have floods here, but you have floods with snakes!! Hope you and yours stay safe.
Next year I'll just make it a New Year speed build, maybe a week, or between Xmas and New Year. Thanks guys I've had a blast.

Traitor??!!
I don't mind being counted as an Aussie for the campaign, but when I go back to work on Monday, I'll definitely be a fully signed up member of the Barmy Army. At least until 26 Jan when I become an Aussie citizen
Thanks for a great campaign JayPee, modelling and the Ashes has been a wonderful combination.
Yes, a lot of Queenslanders are suffering with the flooding. It will take a lot of hard work to put things right again. Some of these small communities are very isolated with most services having to be brought in from far away. And the snakes must like the wet. We have had one in our back yard for the first time in eight years in sub-urban Brisbane

I'm struggling with the computer, but I was able to upload a photo with roundells on both wings, top and bottom, into the member gallery.
After work I had rushed to the workshop and having no matching decals left, I traced a template with pencil and painted them in by hand.
As for Futurepuddling-- looking today, the Future really did pull down the decals when it dried. Not as bad as I earlier thought.
Thanks again!
-Sean.

That's it, it's all over. A convincing series win to England.
Their bowlers slaughtered our batsmen, their batsmen slaughtered our bowlers, the Barmy Army was louder than our crowd by about 4000 dB and I fear even managed to out-drink us.
Oh well, there's always next year.
Thanks again Jaypee for a brilliant concept, and thanks to all players. I'm sure this is just the beginning.

Good things and bad tonight.
England 6/333 off 50, Aussies 8/334 off 49.2 WE WIN
That's the good news
Category 5 tropical cyclone Yasi hitting the far north Queensland coast right now, a storm the size of North America with 300km/h winds and 9.5 metre waves hitting a beatiful piece of coastline and country. Bunker down and sit tight guys, our thoughts are with you.

I hope everyone's as well as can be expected after the tropical cyclone.
I'm thinking ahead to year's end for the next speed build. Getting my homework done this time. No waiting until Day 4 to see what decals I have lying around.
I'm thinking of an RAN Sea Fury or RAAF Skyhawk this time around, but that means I'd likely order the decals from Aussie Decals. Does anyone have experience with them? I had read a couple stories where they arrive brittle and cracked. Did anyone here find that?
Oh, and no, I didn't learn much more about cricket over here. Actually it's funny-- the Green Bay Packers just won the Superbowl last weekend (American football's final game of the season) and were crowned the "World Champions". How can a team be called World Champions in a league that includes only one nation?
Sean.

We laugh at that last bit a lot down here Sean. Same as the Baseball 'World Series' etc etc.
Queensland is a big place and we in Brisbane were not affected by the cyclone luckily. And we were not affected too much by the flooding. Let's hope we have a break from disasters for a while..
Oh, and I started my next speed build last night with an Auster Antactica for the Winter Wonderland campaign. Progress shots later.
