Just a quick note here. German manufactured aviation machine guns were coated in a flat black enamel as a preservative.

I have heard that this black coating had a bluish tinge to it as well or is this just seen on the replicas (sp) of today ?
Sorry don't mean to highjack here .
Really nice weathering on the airframe and wings, Zoran

Blued metal was used on the water jackets of the inline engine cylinders.

Hej Zoran,
you did a pretty good job on this model and I' looking forward to see it finished.
Some quick notes too. The Pfalz Company used bleched linen for their Eindecker airplanes and they look much brighter in pictures than Fokker eindecker.
All the crosses appear to be painted on white ground, even those on the wings.
Be careful with the wheathering. Those old machines had only a short time in action and flying happened only in fair wheather conditions. Mostly these airplanes got the dirt from the castor oil they used and maybe the wheel were affected by muddy ground.

Awesome job Zoran! I love the glossy cowling- did you spray the 2k lacquer through a normal airbrush? The rigging and the paintwork are all perfect. A truly inspiring build- just wish I had more modelling hours in the day to work on WWI subjects again.

Hi Zoran
What a lovely little Pfalz you've got there. Really impressive detailing and painting. Especially like your rendistion of the Clear Doped wings – really well done.
Best Regards
Mikael
