Ive wanted to pick up one of these kits for a while, probably should maybe...just maybe.. finish what ive started first. I really like the nationality of this bulid. I dont get excited about the post war and noncombatant schemes, but i do have a weakness for all things swiss. Im guessing you stenciled the crosses? Where did you get the inspiration to do a swiss build?

Well I really don't care to much for camo schemes . It was suggested to me for the kind folks here , and there is a few pic's in the datafile so the build was based on those pic's . Yes the national markings are stenciled . After the silver/alum was dried the masking tape laid down and white was sprayed -when dried then the white cross masked and the red was laid done using Tamiya paints .

Thanks for the comments

Hi Terri

Wow! a swiss Nie 28 – I like it – really nice, I might pick out my spare one in 1:32 and do a similar conversion – should be fun.

Great stuff!

Best summer regards

Mikael

(whos busy building a shed in the garden at the moment, but keeping an eye on things here when its raining)

Terri- This kit is a little gem. Just so happens the Nieuport is my favorite plane. I did have a lot of trouble with the interior however. Nothing seemed to fit right. But overall I am really enjoying the build. Tom

Thanks Stephen and Mikael !

Mikael , is the shed to house the Gotha when WNW releases it ?

Hi again thomas !

Cockpit was fine on my kit , fit was good but a lot of flesh to clean up on the framing . Sad in ways ...can't see any of the detail in there any way . Only trouble I had with the kit was a wrap fuselage , hot water fixed this with twisting in the other direction and I opened up the strut location holes a little more so they would fit better . Other then that it was a joy building the kit and even out of the box she builds up nicely with fair detail . If i ever do another one , side panels for the engine access would be replaced for a more scale apperance . The ones on the kit seem to blend in with their surroundings .

Looks good Terri:

I saw a photo of this somewhere, I think it was hanging from the cieling of a hangar somewhere in Germany. I have this kit, just haven't gotten to it, but it is on the TODO list.
Thanks for posting.

Best
Mark
