Randy: That thing is awesome! I hope it's not too frail though..
Thanks Jeremy. I imagine that there are going to be some very thin pieces and they will need a gentle touch. Hopefully I won't have to cuss too much!!
Thanks again,
Randy

Well by all means I'm a noob, but I think I'm ready to take one step forward and contribute a build to a campaign. I got an AH-64A from Revell, how do I sign up?

It's ok I figured out the enlisting part. I just hope I have a decent first time. I suspect my kit will not let me have that so easily.

C, glad to see you on board and we all are here to broaden our building skills so if the kit is a little bit fussy then what is learned is better than a shake and bake.

I've picked up this for the campaign. I've had a look inside the box and there's not that many parts at all so it should be a nice relaxing build which is perfect as I've no experience with helicopters.

Got a kit from Revell for an AH-64A, and the instructions aren't the best in the world. What little color guide it gives, seems to be ok, but I question their color selection for the pilot and co-pilot helmets. The instructions say white. I know the helmets have changed over the years, and the idea has been pretty much the same, but until recently I'm pretty sure they've always been an OD color. Can anyone give me some guidance on this?

Don't be too hard on Revell.. I have seen and worn many different coloured helmets over the years.. Remember the AH-64 is an old kit and the helmets could very well have been white when it was released. Or it could originally have depicted a prototype and the test pilots could have worn white helmets..
