Today I ordered the AM decal sheets in both the Hi and Low Viz, for RAAF Mirage and Hornet aircraft, that I intend too use on the F16, as to which scheme I'm undecided. One subject in Hi-viz Mirage sheet shows the 'Fanta Scheme' of orange and white.

I'm going to do an operational Spiteful (got a nice WHIF boxing of a 1/72 spiteful).

As I've got the not-quite-right Revell Gripen as well, I'm thinking that would look good in a WW2 scheme. Probably will be either DFS or an Aussie White tail scheme.

I think I'll join using a Kfir in ROCAF markings..

I found the following article :

WASHINGTON — The Bush Administration, in an apparent move to mollify Jerusalem, has approved the marketing in Taiwan of the Israeli-made Kfir jet fighter containing a U.S.-built General Electric engine, government officials said Thursday

this was in 1992. Appearently, it doesn't get through.

I thought this campaign happened a long time ago-- I hadn't read the forum too closely until now.
I've got a spare Hawker/Heller 1/72 F4U-1A Corsair kit that I'd like to make a seaplane-- big pontoons like those Supermarine racing planes-- to land in remote locations out in the pacific. I love to patch together decals from the spares.
This campaign sounds pretty exciting. I'm all enlisted and ready. I think I can manage this one in among all the other campaigns I've got going without pulling my hair out over a "hobby" .
Cheers!
Sean.

My what if is more a "what might still be". The RCAF is looking for a replacement for their Bufalos in the SAR role. The top candidate is the C-27J. I can only hope to complete the build before it's announced that it'll be a reality.

Looking forward to this campaign. How far can we take the "What if"? I am planning on the below entry in US Tactical operations markings. Will that be allowed as an entry?
It flies, it is definitely "what if" and it has never existed in real life
I was thinking to use a Swedish style splinter camo, but in blues and greys instead of green and browns.

2 pix from the 2011 Melbourne Model Expo, of an A6M2 'What If', rule out the Bf 109e3.

{The builder of these two models, is a member of the previous club I was a with, sadly I don't have a pic of his 'Nitrous Stang' which was 4 shades of PINK and a 454 big block V8 instead of the V12 Packard Merlin power plant}.

I may do a second build in this campaign {if time permits}, in an ultra Hi-Viz scheme, too join the F16cj that I intend doing.

Now what if Germany fell back to their old ways and by 1945, combined their new jet fighters with their revived sky fleet of ........ZEPPELINS FLYING AIRCRAFT CARRIERS.

So I'm thinking that the giant Zeppelin could accommodate a few Ta 183s inside a belly section, moving for launch in a telescopic arm outside the ship. There would be no trapeze, as a swivelling arm doubling as the leading edge of the vertical fin of the Ta with the arrestor attached on top would catch the waiting latch on the arm's end.

I hope that the sketches can provide a vague idea.

I've seen the Mellenium Falcon and an X Wing both done in RAAF markings, the Falcon [What If replacement of the F 11c] and finished the the SEA Scheme, while the X Wing had the markings for the F18 Hornet.

Jesper,

This was at the Model Expo, {not a model of mine}, that is along the same idea that you have for your Games Workshop subject, with exception to the markings.

Nice choice, Justin. I was also tempted by that one, but think it is rather pricy for the size of the model.

Nice picture and cool model, Rob. The builder did some nice weathering on those engines. I am looking forward to weather the engine on the Valkyrie as well as the engines are highly visible.

More to follow

They are nice looking kits, but when you think of their prices I'd rather have other plastic than Games Workshop kits... too pricy! I had the Valkyrie on my sights for soo long but it's price always put me off. I'm sure you'll make something good Jesper!

I will be joining this campaign and I was thinking of building a Turkish F-15, but I will use that kit to build an aggressor. I should find something else in my huge stash...
