Our good fellow and Aeroscale member Carl (I love Albies) Althaus underwet the first of 2 serious surgeries on Nov. 19. He is recovering at home and could probably use some seasonal good will. So please use this thread to pass on your greetings.

Hi Carl:

Hope all goes well and that you have a speedy recovery. It is tough to be in the hospital and undergo such invasiveness at our age, so I sincerely hope that you are on the mend, and we will see your timely and pertinent posts here soon.
Blessings to you and your family during this Thanksgiving holiday.

Best

Hey Carl,

Sorry to hear you needed the knife, but oh so glad to hear you are on the mend. The Jagdstaffelln need you.

A swift and speedy convalescence and leave the nurses alone, your mind should be on your fellow pilots..I mean modellers struggling to overwhelm the forums with Albatrossen without your invaluable input.

No Seriously though get well soon my friend.

Thanks for all the well-wishes. I am still not ready to do much, but I am walking around a little bit.

But now, my beautiful wife is in the hospital with kidney stones. As much pain as she is in, she is still worried about me. But I am worried about her. Those of you who have had a stone know how painful those things are.

Love you guys.

Good to hear you are up and getting around, sorry to hear about the wife though.
I had kidney stones many years ago, felt I peed a water melon when it passed.

Hi Carl...Greetings from across the river.

I just saw this. I'm sorry to read about recent events, but am glad to hear that you are up and about. I also hope that the wife is feeling more comfortable. As George H. once said, "All Things must pass."

Get back to the bench as soon as you are able, my friend. There are so many kits crying for attention.

I spent about 30 minutes at the bench yesterday. I am about to head back in there again. It is good to be back in the saddle again.
