Very nice, Terri . You ended the year making really good progress on this one. The masking job looks awesome. There's nothing better than watching a great modeler putting some TLC into a rough kit. I can't wait to see what comes next.
Oh, and Happy New Year!
Cheers,
Mike

Hi Terri:
This is really coming along nicely. Your attention to detail and extra work with the pre-shading is noteworthy. Looking forward to more.

Thanks Mark and Mark !
Made some more progress on the build . Base colours are on with a clear cote to help protect the tamiya paint from unwanted scratches . Beautiful paint to use , but marks very easily . For the PC 10 I use a mix of OD with a little FD tossed into the mix .For the CDL tamiya buff came in handy here . I was going to use Alclad for the engine cowl , but on some of my past builds hair line cracks are starting to form which I'm not overly pleased with so instead I went with Tamiya Neutral grey and for the float assembly .
Pic's to follow soon

Hi Terri – coming along very nicely – You're PC10 looks very convincing to me.
I too use a lot of Tamiya, and I have to agree, its very nice and easy to use, but a tad sensitve to handling...
Best Regards
Mikael

Hi Terri:
It is coming along nicely, looking forward to more. I too like the Tamiya Acrylics, and use MEK to thin them for airbrushing. Yes, I use a respirator.

Thanks Mark , glad to here that you use a respirator when using MEK . That is some real nasty stuff .
Made some progress on this one as well . Decals are on and the top wing is mounted with struts in place .
Now in reguards to the decals the markings are from the spare box and they are Lone Star Models . This is very plain looking isn't .......so I will add the markings to the side fuselage and some code numBers to the rudder fin to give this bird a little more colour .

Thanks guy's for the comments !
The main rigging is now finished with only the control surfaces left to go . The prop is in it's final stages of being painted with a few touch ups here and there on the airframe .

Beautiful job on a really rough kit, Terri. I really envy your rigging skills - you have the knack. I think you're being hard on yourself saying it's not one of your best efforts. Just think what you had to start with. Stellar effort, I'd say.
Cheers,
Mike

Yup , it was a rough kit with some fit issues and have the wrap in the fuselage didn't help on getting things lined up . Tried to get most of the wrap out with some success with out it looking like a cork screw . I must admit though that the rigging was a little frustrating on this one . With the wing stagger it was hard getting at the doouble flying wires at the back of the wing .

Hi Terri:
I think it turned out great! IF you wouldn't have mentioned the markings weren't correct, I would not have known. It is a rough kit, that I probably won't finish, and you put in the extra effort of making it a float version to boot. Very well done and the riggin is outstanding.
I am still working on my first kit of the year. Lots of interuptions.

Thanks Mark !
I only had one pic to go in the Datafile and the remarks of Ray are the this manchine was a US Navy bird . I did try and make my own mask for the national markings , but do you think i can cut a circle ..........Nope ! Egg shape yes ...hehehehe ......
So British marking she was .....
I have the clear version of this kit in the stash but won't be building it anytime soon . So I here you on setting yours a side .
Thanks Stephen , it was an intersting build and looks pretty sharp sitting next to my Hanroit HD-2 !
