Hey all,
I'm considering either doing the Corsair or maybe the Avenger.
For the Corsair, I found on an online chat, the 3 colors needed for the "tri-color" camo:
FS 35042 NON- SPECULAR SEA BLUE (TOP)
FS 35164 INTERMEDIATE BLUE (MIDDLE)
FS 37875 INSIGNIA WHITE (BOTTOM)
Anyone know what those may translate into Model Master Acrylics or Tamiya Acrylics?
Mike
Edit: Well, more digging found the answer (Tamiya):
FS 35042 = AS-8 Navy Blue (rattlecan)
FS 35164 = AS-19 Intermediate Blue (rattlecan)
FS 37875 = AS-20 Insignia White (rattlecan)
Don't want rattlecan....so, I'll have to go check out HobbyTown to see what they have.
Edit 2: Other paints
FS 35042 = Testors MM 1718 Flat Sea Blue or Vallejo 898 Dark Sea Blue
FS 35164 = Testors MM 1720 Intermediate Blue or Vallejo 903 Intermediate Blue
FS 37875 = Testors MM 1768 Flat White or Vallejo 951 White
Oh, incredible Paint Cross Reference chart is here.

Am building a Eggbatros..... but I can do another egg so count me in!! My only question is does it have to be a kit? Can you start with a egg and see what you can come up with?

THAT sounds like a "scratch build" to me. I'm sure you'll come up with something that resembles the "proverbial" eggplane.
Are ye number 10??

I have a couple of eggs laying around so throw my name into the hat. Should take me about 9 months to finish one.

Don't worry about start end dates as the Admins (Sam and I) will fit the campaign into the schedule we have for 2012. just submit the campaign and we'll take it from there Nice. Any thoughts on start/end dates? I'm wide open to this...

How about an egg with angel wings or aviator's wings for the ribbon?

Emre, I like the idea of an egg, right side up, superimposed on a set of Aviator wings. That would be slick.

Nice idea on the ribbon.
Or...
Since we all know that there will be another "Egg" build somewhere down the line how about one egg for this campaign. Then for the next campaign another egg added to the ribbon and so on until we get to a dozen at which time a cluster can be added to a single egg.
Maybe keep the wings in the background with transparant (colored) eggs over the wings.

Yes Mike, that's exactly the ribbon I was thinking about
Joe, for the next one we can put two eggs in a bird's nest and then impose that on aviator's wings.
