Would anyone be interested in an "EggPlane" campaign? This could be a quick one....3 months? There are a bunch out there....Hasegawa, AFV Club, Macross, Kitty Hawk, et al. I just did a quick eBay search...average price is about $10 USD for most.....

Modern eggs, WWII eggs, Whirly-Bird eggs. Sexy eggs.

Thoughts? Short, sweet, and (I've built a few) FUN!

Holla!

I think it would be fun to do this. EggPlanes are pretty easy and dang sure are unique!

C'mon Emre - you can get another! They're all over eBay right now.

Let's see if we can't get some more folks involved.

I'll leave it up to Allen or Sam to determine the start and end dates.

The only serious rules will be that the kit built must be an "Egg" Plane...any one of the recognizable brands...and it must be unstarted.

Winged or "rotor'd."

Well Mike, I'll leave it up to you to find an explanation when another model kit arrives at my house while I have a huge stash. Are you trying to get my wife to kill me?

Okay then, count me in. I'll try to get my hands on another. Here goes Mission Impossible

Emre, Emre, Emre, you are forgetting Married Modelling Lesson 1.

"When pushing the limits of allowable purchases by ordering a new model subject by post, the wise modeller first orders a gift for their spouse that will arrive the day before and in a much bigger box"

I've been only married for 3.5 months now. I haven't taken Modelling Married 101 yet

Besides I don't think my wife would be tricked by that. Smuggling operations would work better I guess

Hehehehe! Wonder how many people remember the Legg's brand hosiery? They came in ‘egg’ shaped containers.

Those were pretty good for scratchbuilding SF models. I remember quite a few of them from the '80s

And of course there are other kinds of sexy eggs

Ah, Emre convinced a lot of people with his "What If?" submission, me included. Count me in.
I'm probably going with a Hasegawa F-18 Hornet, but I love THIS scratchbuilt B-17. Does this campaign allow scratchbuilds? The eggstrememachines.net website is full of all kinds, and most are hilarious.

Most certainly, scratchbuilds are allowed. I had no idea that site was out there. Pretty amazing!

As a side note: There is an EggPlane B-52 out there. Seen one on eBay sometime back...very expensive, but very cool!

Edit: Here's the B-52 on eBay: Stratofortress. OUCH! :/
