Thanks for the link Mikael. They have a lot more products then I realised and some are very neat! I noted in the original article that they will produce custom versions as well to mix &/or match your particular paint products and even brushes etc.
Cheers,
Lance

So Mr. Lawson.. any chance you have an extra pair of 1/32 Roden Albatros D.III OAW fuselage halves laying around in one of your magnificently organized boxes you could part with? my on-going 1 year long oaw project decided to melt under a heat lamp in less than 45 seconds after i had spent countless hours searching out reference and trial and error accurately scratchbuilding the true set up of the D.III's interior and control/pulley system.. i went out and bought balsa and sheet plastic and have considered the molded monocoque fuselage technique as described in Harry Woodman's great book, but a replacement fuselage would just be dreamy

Just moving this from the Early Aviation forum to the General for the benefit of more Aeroscale modelers.

Hello Stephen

– Well one area that I could improve on my own desk, is storing my paint jars in a better way, so that I get an overview of what I have, and can pick out the one I need. I see from your pics that you have some sort of a storage rack?

Problem is I don't have a wall nor a desk of drawers to stack this in, so I keep them in an old WNW kit box in two layers, which gets messy...

I frequently think I've run out of some paint – only to get back from the hobbyshop and find one I did'nt see in the bottom...

Any suggestions most welcome

Mikael

I use a couple of old spice racks to store my jars of paint. You can mount them where ever you like.

Is it frowned upon to bring up and old thread? I just feel that this thread is a good idea and it's a shame it fell into the pits of oblivion.

Since I revived this thread, I feel I should add to it once again.

Noise is an issue with me. I cant sit in a loud room and work without out putting earplugs in. My compressor is a fairly loud beast, I have had it for years and it has served me well, with the exception of the noise. being I am frugal and will not plop down the cash on a silent compressor, I decided to go in another direction in dealing with my problem.

It was a very easy fix. I moved the compressor out of my workspace and ran a air line into my workspace which is connected to a six gun manifold. I was going to move the compressor to the garage and run the line to my workroom, but decided I didn't want to have to run out to my garage to turn on my compressor, so I built a box to set my compressor in and put it in our basement. My problem was solved. No more noise in the work space.
