As "Future" seems to have gone so I never got the chance to use it for conopies, etc. I purchashed on line "Pledge" Klear, can it take the place of "future"?

I beleive the bottles are labelled Pledge with Future. At least that is how they are labelled in Canada.

Thanks for your replies, USA & Canada.
I read a article a while ago in which it had been written by a modeller and it was covered quite a lot. basically he said that USA and Canada, with other countries that there was a slight difference in what it was called but it was still 'Johnsons'. What I gleaned from it was 'Johnsons' had stopped there product had been finished in UK but no mention of an alternative.
I think that I'll need to practice with 'Pledge Klear' and see what happens.

We had what I think was future, under the label pledge here in Sweden a couple of years back. I bought a bottle that I stil use.
It seems to have been replaced with new products, using a different formula. Its even got some perfume added to it – possible making it unusable for modeling?
Has anyone here tried this new form of future/pledege/clear anywhere in the Nordic countries?
Mikael

I once asked the Johnston (the manufacturer) helpdesk whether future and pledge and clear were all the same or not.
The helpdesk informed the that they contacted their laboratory for the correct answer which was clearly that these are all different products with different chemical composition.
Which does not mean of course that they cannot have a similar effect on a model.

So is this stuff the original Lassie or not? I was at my da's the otherday collecting my ancient paints (many still useable! shelf life ftw) and my future'd gone brown and horrible.
I have the new pledge stuff but I'm afraid.

Hi Richard
What does it say on the back in the recipe?
Depending on whats in it I'd be interested in importing a bottle or two – if its not to expensive to ship... Anyone know of a Canaidian/US source that sells overseas?
