Originally, I wanted to go with this, in RCAF markings:

I giving that idea up because of the horribly toy like panel line engraving on fuselage and wings:

I don't feel like rescribing the entire airframe. I'm just way to crappy at scribing.

Sooo, I''ve selected this:

With these AM decal markings:

And these few AM resin parts:

Here's an historical photo of the aircraft I'd like to do:

Still can't start until tomorrow. Its February 29, 2012 all day today.

my Anigrand order is lost as sea

If it hasnt arrived by the weekend, I'll start on something else.
I have an A-model C-123 kit that looks pretty good.

Thanks for the thread setup Tomcat.

@mtnflyer: Shame about the panel lines on the Expeditor, I really like its shape.

I'm looking forward to your progress on the Skytrain though.

Unfortunately I won't be able to start my build right away as I'm only able to manage two builds at once an I've an OV-10D and a P-51D on the go at the moment. But soon I'll be bringing a Do-28 to the build in these markings

Well there's no rush, we'll be running for six months. How long have you been waiting for the kit to arrive?

Order placed on Feb 6. Have been in touch with vendor - still being patient.

With it turning to March 1st today we're officially ready to go so let me welcome everyone to the Support Aircraft Campaign.

We have 34 enlistee's, including myself, which is a great number especially as this is the first group build I've ever run.

I'm going to setup a spreadsheet for myself so that I can track everyone's builds and that should help with the ribbon awarding and campaign feature at the end of play.

So I'll just wish everyone good luck with their builds, I'm looking forward to seeing all of them.

Spreadsheet Link

There's a link to the spreadsheet, I'll add more details once I'm certain what everyone is building.

Starting parts clean-up today, along with a Norseman. May as well wash them all at once.

The kit looks quite nice, as does the Horseman in the other thread.

I can't tell if the panel lines are raised or recessed?

Hi folks,

Great to see the campaign up and running...

I'm going to build a Lockheed Hudson for this one, with Irish Air Corps markings. The kit is an old Airfix kit from the seventies, iwth plenty of flash and horribly molded radial engines. I may just have to go looking for half decent ones on the ole interweb aftermarket scene.

Photos will follow in a couple of days.

Hi, nice to see a good selection of aircrafts. I'll be building an EW aircraft, the Italeri 1/72nd EB-66.

@eoinryan: A Hudson in home colours should look really good, it's a very attractive little bomber I've always thought.

@oraora: That's a very nice choice you have there. I have to say I've never seen one of those before on any of the forums I visit so I'm looking forward to watching it come together.

I'm in with a Revell Arado Ar196 1/32. I think I'll be pushing things to get it done in the 6 months but I'll give it my best shot.

Hi all!

This would be my entry:

It will be built straight OOB. I was thinking about getting the Aires exhaust but they would end up costing me more than the kit itself!

Now on to the basin for a thourough wash of the parts.
BTW: this thing is BIG!

I'm not sure whether an Aurora counts as a support aircraft, since it has a definite combat role. It may qualify if you mark it as one of the 3 unarmed Arcturus that were used for trainning and showing the flag up north.

My entry has no machine guns and due to Canadian goverment cut backs no Torpedo's.
Used to patrol coast and track American subs in Canadian waters!
Tomcal31 please give ruling on my entry

Unfortunately I can't give a ruling as I'm not the campaign leader, Vertigo is the leader so I'll leave the ball in his court to decide.

Cheers

Sorry I didn't catch this earlier guys, I've just found out I'll need to move apartments soon so everything is up in the air at the moment.

I'm happy to see everything has sorted itself out though and I'm looking forward to the Arcturus, it looks like a lovely aircraft.

@shorty53: That Arado looks absolutely huge. What is the large disc just right on the phone?

@_Viper_: That Vigilante does look big, I'm surprised they operated off of aircraft carriers in the first place.

I've updated the spreadsheet.

I started on my ESCI US-3A over the weekend. I detailed the wheel bays and started on the seamless intake conversion from Sierra Models. I'll snap some pics and post them ASAP.
