I really like that suggestion of wood grain. It pushes all the right "wood tone" buttons for me so well that it's a little jarring to see the bare plastic right beside it.

Here are a couple of Mercedes D.IIIa 170hp engines in a swap out at a Naval land unit. These are early types that still have the water pump on the rear tower instead of the late type where they were moved to the underside of the crankcase. Great diorama potential!

You're still runing towards a 120% finish, Keith. I keep going back to the seat and cushion, absolutely beautiful!
Also want you to know that my build is presently nearly in reverse progress wise; I'm presently going back to the fuel tank portion, your extra plumbing just has to be included on mine.( I have no shame and can't turn down the opportunity to use your expertise. It's all about sharing after all?!?!
Cheers,
Lance

Keith – I think you really nailed it with the wood finish on the interior. Absolutely beautiful cockpit!

Got to love that in-the-field built cart with the engine on using What look like Albie wheels and probably axle too. Dio possibilities are many with pics like this for inspiration.

Lance, you know thats exactly how I feel too. Sorry I caused you extra work...... NOT

Hello Keith:

Your work is always inspiring and your present example is no less so. I have to echo Lance's assessment of the seat, you nailed the leather look! The wood of the interior is nailed as well and all the detail work is just as noteworthy. I am enjoying this ride Keith. Thanks for sharing your work on the familiar stump.

Best

Mark
