Thanks, guys! It's like any other plastic-film tape and doesn't stretch much. Thin strips will- and you can fill in with broader strips if you want a sharp line. Great stuff- it's just like a transparent post-it.

I think I can call this plane done. Of course I'll have to add a fresh oil streak here and there- as I build the diorama base. Updates will continue!

Hi Chuck,

Excellent work as usual. The idea with the figure is brilliant! Too bad though that it isn't one of your girls...

It's Memorial Day and the girls are attending services for the fallen, so my dog Andi is keeping an eye on Pfennig as we build our little Kubel. Read on!

I keep learning from you. I had never seen the splatter technique using the airbrush. It certainly makes the direction of the splatter much more controlled. Thank you again.

Thanks, russ!

Over a month and no updates? Pfennig is furious! Calm him, Fritzi- please!

Chuck,

I have several months of catching up to read here:

1. Outstanding model building and running commentary! I am amazed at your work on those beautiful legs (LANDING GEAR legs - c'mon guys!); great idea with erasers for paint boo-boos; wonderful markings and insignia; super Kubelwagen; so many things to mention.

2. Happy that Andi is well and keeping an eye on Pfennig.

3. Brilliant use of Monogram Schurtzen. A wonderful tribute to your late friend. That gripper for sanding them - wish I'd thought of that and saved my fingertips!

4. Are those ankle socks on Fritzi?? Me thinks she gets fashion tips from ZZ Top!

After being out of the loop for several months I'm catching up on various projects and finding yet another Chuk project has been a fun read. Well actually a quick fly thru. Once again Chuk your builds and techniques are inspiring.

I see that the babes have become more refined and elegant. You should do a pin-up calendar in digital format. SWMBO has no problems with pin-up stuff around here. She also bakes cookies for me.

Now bookmarked for future lurking.

Oh my, oh my... I wanted to say, oh my, oh my ... oh my, oh my... (continue as much as you like!)

No comment, just sighs...

Thanks, everyone! Sorry to be late in reply, but I've had very limited access to the web lately, and work has been absolutely hoppin'! I'm getting ready to head off to the fabulous San Diego ComicCon International for a gigantic nerd-fest- wish me luck!

The show was a blast, Frederick- cheers!

In between rounds of long hours at work, family issues and life in general, I've been sneaking in time at the bench. Take it away, Hannah!

Excellent update Chuk - well worth the wait. I love the base, as out of the box as I have come to expect.

You should talk to Jessica about just making your updates a feature article on the homepage - alternatively please publish a book in this format; so easy to learn from and just such an enjoyable presentation.

Inspirational as always Chuck, the shurtzen around the base are a wonderful idea. The second picture on this page has given me a great idea; the number for the house needs re-painting and it just happens that its number 5, so I am going to do it as the same 5 that I did for this aircraft, I just wont tell SWMBO that it is a Luftwaffe 5

And here I thought I was the only one who used the term SWMBO!

Think of the elaborate masking tutorial you can put together using the side of your house Mal - why stop with the number? Why not paint the entire wall, make it a mural of sorts. The fire department will appreciate it when the respond to the inevitable domestically induced fire.

Thanks, everyone! Mal- that's the coolest house number ever! I foresee a new line of masks... ;D

Sorry to have been absent- but life just gets crazier! I spent yesterday dialing in my new PC, as the old beast crapped out last weekend. I was able to save our photos- and all my art, thankfully! Here's a teaser for this evening's penultimate update:
