Hi Chuck,
What a good start! and for the good cause... I will follow your build closely, as always. Nice idea for the engine, though
All the best,
Entoni

PS. Don't tell my wife, but I kinda like your Nazi pin-ups!

Thanks, Entoni! I'm excited to dig into this project- the added engine is enough to add a little spice to a a simple build. Sorry about the link- let's try it again:

Hi Chuck
Great start - and I hope you took extra care with all that resin dust in the context of this build!... I'll be keen to see how you sort the undercarriage, because the kit's just won't fit in the wells - so something's gotta give (shades of the Czech Model's Me 309...).
In answer to Entoni's comment, my girlfriend has put in a request for an occasional Luftwaffe "hunk" - purely in the interests of balance and political correctness, of course...

Arr Chuck another one of your master pieces to keep an eye on and if you have to get it done by 29th December does this mean it's a speed build

Hi Chuk,
I'm waiting for details on the markings?
Wonderful but simple detailing, I love it. ( The ladies do help ;-) )

Your builds are always inspirational, always amazing and always a pleasure to view. Keep sharing.

Chuck! I almost missed this one! If this was available in 1/72 I would build it - or at least buy it

That plumbing on the engine is really something!

Thanks, thanks!
Well, it looks like I'll miss the contest deadline, but that's okay- I've still made my donation and that's the whole point. I'm proud to say we've collected a nice wad of cash for this most worthy cause- and had a ton of fun doing it! maybe Aeroscale could do a similar event- just sayin'!
Life and work have kept me from making any posts, but I have managed to sneak in some time at the bench. I've been prettying up the landing gear and their covers- the kit has some rather amusing errors in this area. I've also decided to add a desert Kubel- and why not give it an interesting color scheme as well? Add to all this an innovative base- and we'll see what happens! Stay tuned- and cheers!

Thanks- and good on you, Matt! This build has been on hold while I get the studio remolded- but fear not, it shall return! I'll post more pics of the renovation in my other thread later today- gotta clean and check my neon beer light right now.

Hi Chuck,
I'm sitting in my new man cave reading this

and I'm really looking forward to seeing the results of your refurbishment and the final installments on the Me 509

I still have to get the interior of my MC sorted, but at least I can use my PC and plotter in here. I managed to clear a space on my modelling bench yesterday but it's covered again! I'll be back to getting some modelling done soon though
This is another inspirational build, I just love the way that you cannot pass a detailing opportunity by

Hallo Chuck,
I have followed your amazing build like I did with Ju 388 and Me 410, phantastic!
Just above you said:".... I'll post more pics of the renovation in my other thread later today ..."
Can you, please, give here a link to your 'other' thread? I really want to have a look at it.
Thanks in advance!
