How about the products of Alexander Yakovlev's prolific design bureau? Start with the UT-1
right through until the Yak 130

The Campaign Queen is at it again, a clever concept as always. I know this Yankee's got a Ruski Yak around here somewhere. It could be parked between the Mig 3 and LaGG 3 Series 66 .

Well only the three Yaks tickle me.
The 25, 28 and 32... Especially the 32, it is seriously pretty.
Hippo models has a seemingly mythical quarterscale 28. Aside from that anyone know of any quarterscale 25's or 32's??

The long-defunct
Collectaire Yak 25 resin kit seems to have been the only one of this beastie. There doesn't appear to have ever been a Yak 32 kitted in any scale.

Jessica,
Nice idea, I'd probably go with a YAK 3 or 9, and given how small they are in 1/72, I might well venture into a 1/48 kit. Would this be a 2014 build?

Most likely, yes. We're already into October for the campaigns that are approved so I can't really see it starting any sooner.

Count me in with this one that I got new for cheap off eBay ($0.99+S/H) a few months back to lower the "effective" shipping cost on a couple other things I bought.

Howdy Y'all
I'm notorious for signing up for campaigns and not finishing. Count me in, I'd like to build something from WWII like a Yak 1 or 3.
Hopefully I'll finish this time.
Take care,

Way back in the mists of time there was a double kit put out by Contrail.
Here's one being built.

Hi
Go to Hannants web site and search "Yak", they have six pages of Yak models in stock by various manufactures.

Hi again
Yep - I'd say we're spoiled for choice. There were a couple of new UT-1 kits announced in the News section only today.

All the best

I originally thought of doing a Yak 3 but I found my East German VEB Plasticart kit of the Yak 40 airliner. Anybody (Jessie C) put one together?

I did that one about 20-odd years ago. It's only accurate for the prototype and the plastic is horribly brittle. It's very basic kit, average to poor fit, no interior at all and the decals were a beast 20 years ago so by now the ones in your kit are likely fired. But if you approach it knowing all that it's a buildable model.
