Everything stalled a bit due to work commitments but back onto this.
Looking like a Tiffie now
A couple of seams need addressing now it's primed but all in all it's gone together nicely

Andy, great to see you back on line

I hope you've managed to get a bit of bench time in while you've been offline Andy
Looking forward to seeing you in a few weeks!
Just finished painting the camouflage on the Tiffie.
Once its cured I can get the yellow leading edges sprayed on and then it's decal time.
Looking on target to being finished in time for when you visit.

Looks good Nige, apart from them stickers. I was clearly wrong you are flying through this build, how long has it been? I did blink (slept more like) and almost missed it

Great to see another Typhoon being built Nige.
Do you paint the canopy framing by hand?
Are you planning on hanging the 1000 lb'ers under her wings?

Blink and you'll miss it, the speed build continues
Got the last of the deca....."stickers" on today and made a start on the ordnance.
For a Tiffie Ben it has to be rockets. ( Just practicing for when I start my MDC Tiffie).
I'll be spraying the canopy frames when I get around to it
This was the first day in a month I've been able to spend some time at the bench and I made the most of it.
I finally got the serial numbers sprayed on the 1:48th razorback and I even managed to spend an hour or so working on the magnificent 1:32 Tamiya Mustang
Hopefully, it won't be another month before I get chance to do some more on these.

Don't forget those fill bands on them there rockets, a 1" light green band (no not yellow) around the warhead about 1/3 from the tip and 0.5" red and white bends at the tip. The warhead itself was painted deep bronze green

Nige, really looking good. Slow but steady progress, but progress none the less. Hopefully with your target date of pre-Xmas for the glass frame painting, your finish target date won't be that far behind.

Joel I had forgotten just how small a 1:72 canopy is!
I masked the sliding section the other day but haven't managed to get enough motivation to mask that tiny front section yet.
So, I've contented myself over the last couple of days,( I actually managed/forced myself to have almost the whole weekend off for the first time in I don't know how long), with the final Klear coats followed by a panel line wash using ProModeller wash.
I also added an arming wire to the end of each of the whizzbangs.
Soooo,, all I need to do now is mask that front canopy and paint the frames, add a bit of weathering to the airframe and matt varnish everything then the little Tiffie will be finished.
Next photos will be of the finished model

Nige, slow but steady progress, but progress all the same.
The little tiffie is looking good, soon your taxi rank will be full of tiffies and t-bolts.

Wow Nige, this is cracking on at quite a pace, will it be finished for Telford (2014)?

It'll be finished before your Airfix Tiger Moth

Well the little Airfix Tiffie is finally done.
Straight OOB and apart from the addition of some PE seatbelts its just as Airfix intended.
It's really good to see Airfix coming out with kits of this quality and very reasonably priced to boot!
Just a small amount of filling,(plasticard wedges) required on the leading edge of the wings and that was it.
Seems that the yawning caverns of wingroot gaps are no more
Kids these days,, they've got it easy
