Hmm, this was a tough one for me. Am I correct in thinking that there is something different about his uniform? His "wings" dont look like the typical RAF/RFC item? The uniform does look british tough...

Uniform and wings are USAS however this Guy's identity has me totally baffled! Only guess is possibly Capt David Peterson later when he commanded the 94th Aero. (a real shot in the dark!!)

The face and uniform totally don't match but this looks suspiciously like Ernst Udet, possibly in the 20's/early 30's. I read somewhere that he visited Hollywood at one time but don't recall any reference to his being in a movie. Perhaps a gag photo op??
So, is this "Ernie" in disguise? "In for a penny, in for a pound" as our Brit members would say!
