Its really great to hear from you Magnus. With your thoughts on entering, I can now submit the proposal.
I tried working out that ribbon image idea I had, and found it looks like real do-do in small size:
Perhaps I'm doing it wrong, but I'm thinking simpler is better.
I'll submit the proposal, and keep trying to work out a proper ribbon. Anyone with any good idea's?

Ben,
Wonder if using the globe with the word "Airpower" over it (but not superimpose) is feasible or makes sense to you?
Otherwise me thinks using a plane as background with the motto "nation pride" or something could also be an idea
cheers
Pedro

Thanks Pedro. I'm going to play with your above idea, and see if I can work something out.
I'm not sure if your plane in the background idea will work, because this is an international campaign. If the plane in the background happened to be an identifiable Hawker Typhoon, for example, some in other nations may find that politically incorrect. And I don't want to go there. This campaign is for anyone in any nation. The ribbon design has be be neutral.
The campaign proposal has been submitted. Now patience; and I fear we will have lots of time to select projects, considering whats already on the table.

Sounds like fun, I just happened to be going through my pile and found a Fujimi A-7B Corsair II VA-215 "Barn Owls" with very patriotic red, white and blue lettering for the 1976 Bicentennial.

Welcome, Brent. I actually remember the 76 Bicentennial. I was in Anchorage, Alaska at the time. Just too young and dumb to photograph the aircraft flying out of Elmendorf Field.

Ben, I was a late teen at the time and remember the Bicentennial paint schemes. I didn't take any photographs but thank goodness others did.
The A7 has always been one of my favorites. A flight of two Colorado ANG A7's buzzed us while we were horseback riding near Royal Gorge. I don't know who had more fun, us or the pilots.

Just a little pre-weekend bump.
Who is especially proud of their countries airforce, naval or army aviation divisions, or their countries civilian air sectors? Who would like to build any aircraft, helicopter, or flying machine you want to, just so long as it carries the insignia of your home nation as is shown on your profile? Who would like to earn this fancy ribbon?:
The main thrust of the campaign idea is to gather a collection of many different flying machines from as many nations as is possible, and to display them here on AeroScale. Hopefully, this will attract modellers from a wide range of countries building a wide range of colorful subjects.
The proposal has been submitted some days ago, and there is this list of fine modellers with a confirmed interest:
rochaped - Portugal
tinbanger - Canada
Joel_W - USA
IronOwl - USA
ljames0874 - England
J8Kob_F - Sweden
Keeperofsouls2099 - USA
Sabretooth - Canada
magnusf - Sweden
North4003 - USA
raypalmer - Canada
AussieReg - Australia
Shuftie - Australia
amegan - England
Mcleod - Canada
All are welcome. Looking for any other proud modelling souls who want to build an aircraft in their countries colors from any era. You only need an address from somewhere on this:

Hi Sascha
The proposal was submitted on October 12. I'm still waiting to hear back from the campaign administrators. I suppose its just a matter of time and patience, although, I have wondered if they are still active myself.
If I don't hear anything by the weekend, I'll contact them.

Oh heck I'm in. Another immigrant to Canada!
Likely a sabre. Maybe rcn...
That flags of the world thing sounds like a stormer. I'd be up for that too. I must admit it has the spirit of my own lottery campaign but with an even better premise! If one listed the nations of the world (at present), then deleted the ones with insufficient aerial background, assigned numbers to the remainder, and then used random dot org. Well that would be great. (perhaps banning anyone building anything from a nation they've built before would liven it up even further).

Throw an Aussie flag in the mix, I'm in with either a Wirraway or Boomerang.
Great campaign idea by the way, and I also like Rowan's take on the "lottery" campaign for a future date.
Cheers, D

I'm really glad I bumped this proposal idea back from the 2nd page. The list of those interested has just increased to thirteen, and a prior post has been edited as a result.
Thanks fella's.
Now, hopefully, it will get approved while were still young enough to lift a tube of glue.

Wonderful, Andrew. That makes 15 confirmed.
And as far as a selection on your list; I'd go with the easiest, because its too hard to choose between great subjects.
Sascha, either a Cat or a Stinger (preferably both) are more than welcome.
Should hear soon on approval; I understand there's a new gun in town.

Thank you all for your patience, this is my first day on the job! This campaign has been approved, it will run from Nov. 1, 2014 through May 1, 2015. You can enlist here. Looks like there will be some interesting builds, I'm looking forward to it!
