Tom,
Well done. Your F4F-3 looks great. Nicely built, painted, and weathering that has my favorite "used but not abused look" You made it to the finish line with time to spare.
Joel
Cam,
There you go, just cruisin' right across the finish line with all the time in the world to finish. Another really nicely done F4F-3.
I haven't checked the Campaign gallery, but each of you must post a min of two pictures. You still have time to do it, as I now have to figure out how to issue ribbons.

As of now, I'm officially calling our GRUMMAN CAMPAIGN done. I will be issuing ribbons to all those that have finished their builds and have posted the required 2 pictures in the campaign gallery.

Richard,
Thank you. It was my 1st, and it sure was different then just being part of a campaign.
Now I have to figure out how to award the ribbons.

Michael,
Thanks. Yes I did. I just went to my Campaign leader page. Good thing I saved the link.
I awarded 14 ribbons including one for Pedro who had an issue posting his pictures to the Gallery. I also tried to go through the campaign for others that didn't post their finished builds, but I didn't find any.
If by some chance I did miss someone, I noticed that the page is still up after I updated it. How long does the page stay up, and how long can I update it?

The campaign page goes away in the main "Campaigns" view, but if you click on "Aircraft" in the list on the right at the top of the page, you can see completed campaigns as well, and then you can get to it. It will stay there pretty much forever, I think.
Great campaign! Thanks for hosting it Joel and thanks to everyone who participated!

Thanks for the campaign Joel!
I am glad it was successful.
I will try and get some better pics in the gallery some time Today.
Cheers Rob.
P.S. Now I have to finish this Grumman.

Rob,
Looking forward to seeing your F-14A finished. You might want to post it in the Modern forum now.

Jonathan,
I'm glad we made double digits as I was concerned about that. I still don't understand why so many members sign up for so many campaigns knowing that they'll never complete their entries in time, or for that matter even start them.

Michael,
thanks. I never knew that. Then why is it when a campaign admin extends the time frame for someone, not to just go ahead and issue the ribbons to the members who've already finished on time, rather then making everyone wait?

When to award the ribbons is a choice the individual campaign leader makes. I think most just choose to do it all at once, but you certainly can go back and do it several times once the official end date is passed.

I think many modelers are, by nature, optimists. We sign up for campaigns that interest us and then find we've over extended ourselves and/or that pesky real life thing gets in the way of finishing. Now that we've gone to starting two campaigns a month, that may actually make things harder (that's why I've encouraged allowing started kits into campaigns). Guess we'll see. It's a new year, after all!

Michael,
I really think that the previously started kits, and the limit of just 2 new campaigns per month will go a long way towards increasing participation, and the completion percentage.

Joel,
There is a thread on the F-14 here:
http://armorama.kitmaker.net/forums/221468
It has not been updated in awhile got to the part where I have to apply all the "no step's".
Cheers Rob.

Thomas,
I'm sorry that due to other commitments you weren't able to complete your campaign build. As Michael posted, you can enter it in the Shelf Queen campaign which runs for the entire year of 2015.

1/48 Eduard F6F-3 + Wolfpack wing fold
Back after a 3 month hiatus. I missed the deadline but I'll get the Hellcat done and post her to the Hanger Queens, Joel.
I had to take an extended break from the bench and got sidetracked by other things. I probably stretched it a bit trying to do a campaign a month on top of a full time job and being a newlywed this year. Live and learn!
I am going to finish the F6F-3 and then pick something else to work on, one project at a time so I can actually finish them in the time allowed. I have no less than 5 hangar queens at the moment...

Paul,
Glad to hear that all is well with you.
Marriage, and a full time job can do that to you. Throw in a house, and a son, and I can't believe I have any time to work on a kit. Of course I'm semi retired now, so that helps. I've never been able to multi task with includes more then one build at a time, so no matter how long it takes, I eventually get them done.
Looking forward to your F6F-3 crossing the finish line. Please post a few pictures so the rest of us can marvel at the folded wings.
Joel
