Looking forward to this one. I'm planning on a Toyo P-63, Never built a kit from this copany or this plane before. Now if I can just find where I stashed the kit.

Not sure which one I should do, both were certainly overshadowed.

Either would be great, but the Fokker D.XXI, being Dutch and a Fokker, would be very good to have.
Either way, both are good choices.

Decisions, decisions......
After I finish my Fiat BR.20M for Big Bad Bombers I will start one of these.......
I am thinking the Macchi 205 Veltro since I want to kind of do Smoke rings with my airbrush. Plus it actually was a very good fighter.

LOL - on the homepage the title gets cut off so it only reads Overshadowed fighters of WWI. That's going to kick subscription in the balls. Damn character limit.
I'm loving the idea for this campaign.

No, The SAI Anbrosini 207 and the Imam Ro57 Romeo are 1/72.
I wish I had the Imam in 1/48! (still trying but only at the right price)....
I have not seen an Ambrosini in 1/48.....

Everyone of those could be a nice build. The little resin kit has got to be very tiny.

Greg,
It is very small
I think as it stands I will go with one of the Macchis and do the little Ambrosini as well.....

Hi there
I think the important thing for me is to keep things simple to give myself the best chance of actually finishing something for a change!

I spotted Finemold's 1:48 Reppu sat on one side, so I think I'll go with that:

very nice. the Gladiator is one of my all time favourites. I have three 1/48 scale Glads, one a prewar, one a Malta Glad and one South African.
I'm looking forward to see this Silver Wings model.

My model will be of the Avia B.534 series III fighter.
It is the Eduard 1/48 scale Profipack kit. The model will be of a Slovak aircraft which participated in the NAZI invasion of Poland September 1939.

Hi again
Nice choice Richard - and great to have you with us Ken (I'd considered the Whirlwind in 1:48, but opted for an easy life! LOL!)
I've realised my Reppu will be an ideal try-out for some of the product samples that have been sat on my desk for a while (OK - too long!

) so if, now and again, my build may stray off the straight and narrow - that'll probably be the reason.

I'll certainly try a few AK and Wilder products out - there's nothing like a public showcase...
All the best

Just got back from my local hobby shop (CRM) and happened to pick up the Hasegawa Macchi c.202 for this campaign. Also picked up some decals, ultracast seat, wheels and exhausts. Will submit a pic tonight to show everything is new and unstarted...

I happen to have a couple that could work for this campaign - Fine Mold's 1/48 Ki-61 Hien or a 1/72 Czechoslovak fighter I'd never heard of before.

Hi Martyn
I've just been wondering if I should try to find time to tackle RS Models' new Ki-61II Kai or Fokker D.XXIII for the campaign by way of reviewing them.

I'd personally be happy to see any Fokker machines appear in this campaign! Also turned up a 1/48 Reggiane Falco by Smer Models, though I might end up turning my Ki-61 into a what-if for whatever purpose.

Here is what I have decided to go with.
The Macchi 205 and the little Ambrosini.
