I guess I'll go first. Been waiting for this one to kick off fo a while now, ready to get started. Using the Czech Model 1/48 North American FJ-1 Fury along with Area 53 decals.

Time to start my first campaign and look to start that thing with the pictures and so on... The intended kit failed, because of the amount of work, which is necessary to avoid the see-through in the engine-compartment (Revell Ho-229), that's why I changed to that one:

The kit is low on detail and parts count so should not take long.

I’m in with a Trumpeter Vampire FB.MK5, I’m sure it meets the criteria.

This is what I will be building for the campaign I won't be adding any details I want to concentrate on the NMF.

Rob, nice kit and a good test bed for NMF. I have a Dehalviland Vampire for this campaign and see that the scheme with the upper in camo has an under side with NMF so I will be watching your progress to help me with mine.

Thought I'd enter up something German for the campaign:


A HUMA-Modell 1/72 version of the Heinkel He-280, which comes with parts for every variation which existed of this cancelled project.

Low on cockpit details (no seat!) I have painted cockpit flat black and used a white crayon to highlight dials:-

Next up will be to glue halfs together.

I do not model jet aircraft, but this particular group is very ineresting - all those swept wing fighters - cool. I won't be paricipating, but I will be watching.


Anybody doing a F-86, or a CF-100?

Oh darn, Late already. Still planning on the Emhar F-94, I think it's the C model. I'll have to dig it out and get pics when I get home.

Richard, been there done that. Had to buy my own Legos and hide them from my grandson.

Here is my entry the Hasagawa F86D in 1/72nd scale. This will be by second attempt at a bare metal finish. I also have 2 other group builds going so I want to get back into planes on an easy kit.

Thomas, nice choice it is a good kit of a really good looking airplane. I need to clean off my work area and start my Vampire.

Bob you will have to let me know how the Vampire builds. I have seen some issues in reviews. I have been eyeing that kit I always thought it was an odd but interesting looking jet, as are a lot of British aircraft. I guess they all can't be Spitfires.

I like that white crayon idea. That looks good. Would white pencil have more control? Probably not heavy enough though. Is it safe to say you found a seat? Or did the pilot sit on his parachute pack in lieu of one?
I like the secret lego stash too! ha ha.

Bob, which Vampire are you doing? FWIW, I'm mostly thru with the Airfix 1/72 T-10? trainer. Sadly it got packed up and hasn't seen the light of day in months. It wasn't too big a problem, worst was the booms to wings joints.
