Australians, never noted for subtlety. It certainly covers many of the concepts, but at 50 x 20 something might get lost...

Sorry Richard, this show is aired at Prime Time and has to be family friendly !
Cropped and reduced to ribbon format . . . opinions please everybody
Cudos to c4willy for the Nose Art idea and to GazzaS for the Gemini Sign idea, I personally think it works.
Cheers, D

I need to get more modelling done in 2016 so Sam has suggested that I enlist in a couple of campaigns to try and keep me motivated.
Therefore I submit for approval this Hangar queen that I adopted last year off Sam after she got frustrated with the poor fit issues of Edward trying to cram as much as possible into an ill fitting Academy kit.
As you can see I didn't get much further than Sam did and only got the cockpit into the fuselage and a couple of ancillary parts started.
although the pictures have gone off of Sam's photobucket, her thread on this build should give you some idea of the problems She encountered Eduard P-38J Over Europe hopefully I still have the original photos she took so I'll include them in the build thread if I get the go ahead for using this kit as my entry

I'm happy for you to run with that kit Allen. It will be good to overcome the problems with the package and to see it finished.

My entry will be the ICM Do-215:
The only 'twin' in my stash at the moment. It'll be an OOB build unless I scratch some parts... A piece of the landing gear is already broken, and other pieces are less than 1mm thick, so I may put it on a stand, or scratch some parts out of fine brass rod.

Hi all!
And hello Damian! Since you are leading this campain I could not resist to join in as the Schwalbe-cmpg was a great success.
For me it's a good omen for that I might finish a double-engine plane (still not sure which one I use).
Everybody else: nice kits in the row...
The shown ribbon proposals are nice but maybe another suggestion?:
or
... critics welcome

Perhaps a propeller on either side, just to rub the concept in a little more?

There's a POSSIBILITY I might be picking up the Tamiya Mossie within the next few weeks. If so, I could definitely see myself hopping on board this train!

Damien,
For my entry, same kit as nico37, the 1/48 Revell B-25J. I've had this kit on my shelf for about 20 years. Since reading Catch-22, I've intended to model this one with cut-outs to emphasize life inside. I've been waiting for my figures skills to improve, but maybe this campaign is the time to call it good enough and get moving! On top of that, since I have the wrong nose, I'm going to try to adapt the kit to fit a vacu-form B glass nose.
Cheers!
Sean H.
Also, have a good Veterans Day (Armistice Day), in appreciation of all the veterans.

Mossie on the way so I'm in!
After all the hoo-ra did we ever settle on a ribbon? I'm kinda partial to Damian's myself. Thomas' is nice but a little busy and hard to see in the small size.

Awesome Michael, I'm jealous as hell! I would love to have the $$ and the time and the space to build up one of the Tamiya thirty-tooth Mozzies! Really looking forward to following your build mate.
Under 2 weeks to go, 21 enlisted at this point, how about some more feedback on the ribbon options, and a few more motivational kit and aircraft images???
Cheers, D

So far there's been no mention of the greatest twin of all
Nor other, nearly as great ones
And still others, not nearly so great

It's to be the pretty yellow Cessna Crane from page 2, assuming I can get my modelling bench set up in the new place in time enough. And assuming I can remember which box it was packed in...

Excellent choice!
I may take another shot at the Minicraft !/72 Ventura. It'll be it's 3rd campaign, maybe I'll finish it this time.

I might give this a try I have an Eduard 1/48 BF 110C, or a Tamiya 1/48 He 219 A-7, or the Revell 1/32 He 219 A-7 or a couple Revell 1/48 BF 110g2's or a couple of AR234's, I'll try to pick something diabetes is kicking my ass lately

Jessica, Mark, Steve, great info and really happy to have you guys on board.
Please don't forget to ENLIST at some stage during proceedings, otherwise it gets very difficult to award you a ribbon at the end.
Thank for throwing in more images as well, just sooooooooo many options out there for this subject!
Cheers, D
