Just noticed this thread, sounds like a great plan to me, so count me in!
All I have to do is track down a suitable victin since my N1K1 is already entered in the interceptors campaign and I recently finished my P47 and P38...so there's all the possibilities from my current/recent stash out of the running right off the bat!

Call it "Storm of Aluminum" or possibly "Aluminum Overcast" and be opened to any aircraft with a weather inspired name?

I like the concept of Thunder(bolt) and lightning (very, very, frightening me, Galileo, galileo, Galileo, galileo, Galileo figaro - magnifico. Sorry )
Perhaps we could do a windy campaign after but for this one stick to T&L, maybe include squadrons that use T &/or L as a emblem or name. I think the windies have enough aircraft for their own campaign.
Howdy Y'all
I like your idea! Don't know if I'll be able to participate but I'd love to join if I find another hour in my 25-hour days. Count me in.
Take care,

Mmmh, do I hear the echo of thunder or is it just a glow that illuminates me?
O.k.,you got me by the b..., and if the schedule fits I'm in.
After checking my hidden treasure I'll go to lighten up the sky with Italeris 1/72 2002-rebox RF-84F THUNDERFLASH and of course in USAF markings

Good one Michael.
I'm all signed up and unless anything changes my entry will be the Airfix 1/48 EE Lightning, not sure of scheme or version yet.

Im in, still probably with a special hobby 1/72 Saetta but this may change to a C.202 folgore in 1/72 now that they're eligible...that is if, of course one should so happen to appear in the stash between now and then Either way I'm cooking Italian!

I'm tempted, I have a Shiden in my stash. Ok...I'll be there. I'm gonna try something really weird with it.

Jonathan,
Unfortunately, while we discussed including other kinds of weather, it was finally decided to limit the campaign to airplanes with Thunder or Lightning involved. If you'd like to start a Windy Weather campaign, that would be a interesting companion campaign to this one!

I have a literal stash full of EE Lightnings. Airfix F1 F2a F3 F6 Trumpeter F1, Sword T4 7 T5 in both 1/72 & 1/48. I've signed p and will spend the next few months deciding which one to build. The downside, I am number 13 in the enlistment list
