So I finally did it.
I thought It was about time I stopped beating about the bush and bought one. And yes, I am kicking myself about not acting sooner before the price increase.
I decided to get the late version Rumpler C.IV. A nice looking plane and has some cool variations in the box. Plus 2 big sheets of lozenge decals, so I thought it was the one that would give me the most bang for my buck.
Really looking forward to getting it. I may even get a couple more over the year. I really do like the DH9.
Now I feel like everyone is going to gather round me chanting 'One of us! One of us!'

Arrived today! Only had a chance to have a quick look, as my better half insisted on doing the shopping straight after work and then I had to cook dinner. But she didn't complain about my latest delivery, so guess I can't either.
But from I've seen so far of it, I am impressed. I can hardly wait to start it.

Nice one Stephen

You are in for a real treat with the Rumpler!

Did you mention the DH.9a?... I dragged myself from my sickbed when these two beauties arrived this week! They're birthday-presents-to-me, so I've got to get better to enjoy them!

All the best

Very nice. I fancy the Snipe too. I'll be watching your DH9 build when you post it.
If I have one minor complaint, it's the packaging. The sprues were crammed in and I found one of the top tailplane support struts snapped. Luckily it's not a load bearing part and the break is clean, which will allow a quick repair if I pin it with wire. Just a little bit annoying.
But what I do like are all the options I'm given. I'm spoilt for choice as to what to put inside it. Cameras, radio, bombs, guns. Incredible!
I must go through my SD cards to find the pics I took of the Deutches Museums Rumpler when I went to Munich a couple of years ago.

You will be in for a real treat building this kit, I have built 18 Wingnut kits and have another 30 in my stash, to date I honestly believe that their Bristol F.2b fighter is still their best kit.

Hi Des

Great to see you. How are you doing? I've just got the Post War F.2b myself and can see why you rate the Brisfit so highly.

All the best

Built 18 and 30 to do! I'm not a bit jealous of that. Have you posted your builds I'd love to see how they turned out.
I'm planning on getting a couple more. Given that there is little that interests me from the mainstream manufacturers this year it would be a good investment for me.

Welcome to the Gang Stephen! Now we've got you, you can never go back!

If you're going to build right away, you're cordially invited to the Canvas Falcons Campaign. The time frame indicated is a guideline and not a rule.

In any event, glad you made the plunge!

Thanks Michael.
I'm already signed up to the campaign with Eduards 1/48 Roland C.II. I will do a build log of the Rumpler when I make a start on it.

Went ahead and ordered the Snipe a few nights ago, guess I really have got the bug for them now. Had some overtime pay so thought why the heck not.
Might also get the Albatros D.Va OAW. Seeing as the others are discontinued I have a feeling it might go too soon.

I think I will eventually join. Gotta get rid of some of the models that meant a lot to me (at least they did years ago) first. Gotta figure out what is truly important, hobby wise, for my remaining years.

They are good kits. I was very hesitant for a long time and I do wish I had gotten a couple years ago. The RE.8 is a kit I would sell my soul for.
I still have a ton of inbuilt kits at ny parents I might sort through and sell off to invest in a few more if these bad boys!
