I have completed the turret interior and painted the glass house black. Some accients at the completion of it but I hope it is not that much visible.
I bought a set of resin exhausts for it, which I have just installed. I also glued on the landing light covers ... I did not find the Griffon PE for the lights itself so it has to be without these. Next will be small parts and u/c doors before the flat coat.

Nicely done buddy, the turret look a winner. Shame about the PE for the landing lights. Keep the updates coming please.

Thanks Kent!
Sorry, it has been a while since I posted. Live got in the way but also I am also not happy with the turret greenhouse... though the problem will hardly be seen once it is built in.
I restarted the kit yesterday and just airbrushed on some clear flat... I will focus on the inner landing gear doors next..

Cheers Joel!
I have added the mechanism, but I will have to do some cleanup...
Furthermore I have checked several pictures and these show a typical exhaust stain pattern (both sides pretty similar). The stain is pretty narrow and flows in a bow down the fuselage. I have tried to replicate that

Slowly working my way through final assembly. Turret looks o.k. inside the fuselage .. a bit of adjustment was required to make it fit. Still a few bits'n'pieces missing...

Steffen,
the turret really looks great to me, and it fits perfectly. That's something that I never did get completely right on the B-25B, and it's on my list to correct before I tackle the base. Same with the crooked wheel.
the exhaust really matches your description to a tee. Well done.

Some detail shots with parts I added lately. Please remember these are waaay more close up than i would anyone get near my models
rudder controls
windshield frame with mirrors (here still black), handle at the sliding hood, PE thingies (no idea what these are for except hurting in case of crash) left and right inside the pit
position lights drilled and filled with Tamiya clear red and green. pitot added (kit part as I think it is o.k.)
I will check if there is anything left in the box, but think it is done.
all the best
Steffen
P.S. another try to show the turret interior...

Turned out really nice! All that detailing and extra effort certainly paid off. The option of displaying the turret shell looks like an awesome option in the kit.

Steffen,
Well done. And congrats for crossing the finish line.
those 4 gun barrels do look rather good. The Master Brass is just 1st class. I've bought them for my Mossie, and they just so much better then the kit molded ones, most likely I'll use them whenever possible.
I do like how you add the colored bulbs to the wing tip ID lights, and I think I'm going to "borrow" your technique.
As usual, looking forward to your next build.

Thank you Guys! Your comment is much appreciated!
@ Joel: agree on the master barrels! .. .still their pitots/antennae are not always as good.
As for next projects, I am building the new Bf 109G-5 parallel and it is in the decalling stage. I took some pictures so maybe I will start another thread with that one. I also think of resuming one of my old projects, maybe the Gnat, Bf 110 Dackelbauch or Ki 100... or even my F-16A Netz. I have 3 weekends before our annual show in Berlin-Gatow so it would probably be wiser not to start a new one, if I want to get something more finished
