Would "ETO" include Finland, etc? And/or Western Russia? Just trying to get a feel for the parameters here ;-)
OK, clearly I can't count out Russia (nor should I); so, a slight modification to the overall plan:
CBI Campaign 1937-45 (already underway)
Western Front/ETO Campaign 1940-45
Eastern Front Campaign 1940-45 (including Finland)
North Africa/MTO campaign (1940-45)
PTO campaign (1941-45)
Not necessarily in that order. How does that sound?
And it looks like we have 10 for the Western Front/ETO campaign so I'll get that up and running for a February start.

Hi Michael,
you can count me in, i would have liked two parts for the ETO (the first part before the 6th of december 1941 and the second part after) but anyway ity's ok for me.
Cheers

Here's a possible ribbon. It's the U.S. European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign medal ribbon with ETO superimposed on it (the MTO ribbon would look the same but with MTO instead).
Too subtle?

I'm in. This totally gives me an excuse to move my new Meng P-51D to the front of the bench!
Love the idea of a whole series Michael, just don't overlap them too much or the only thing I'll manage to finish is Hanger Queen VII - IX.

sorry no interest in WW2, yes I am a heretic, but I will be lurking and taking notes, because this is where the talent is.

This sounds like a lot of fun. I have a few kits to dig through but thinking the 1/48 Eduard Lysander Profipack has been on my mind lately.

While moving on well on CBI campaign I'm looking foreward to take part on the ETO too. As well I will do the sequels on MTO, PTO etc.
Michael, the ribbon looks nice - we should go with it. Not sure what type I will do but maybe a started Bf 109 G-K Fujimi (around 20% started) or a Revell "Würger"G-8 both in 1/48.

Thomas, it seems that my CBI build is progressing well also. Cant wait to see yours finished.
I just enlisted into the ETO with a Monogram P-47D razorback.

No worries. I've got 2 Academy P-47s, in the one true scale, a razorback and a bubble top in the stash. And there's a old Otaki 1/48 P-47 stashed away somewhere...

Is Battle of the Atlantic included in the campaign? Planes mostly operated from Europe, but Atlantic isn't exactly Europe... I'll probably participate with a P-47D, but Trumpeter's FW-200 Condor could be a fun build.

I'd say the Battle of the Atlantic was part of the Western Front/ETO. A Condor would be a cool entry, so I'm down with it!

By the way, here's my nefarious plan:
Clockwise from the top left: MTO Campaign,
CBI Campaign (in progress), PTO Campaign, ETO Campaign. All will be done in the box art colors except the P-51B for this campaign, that one I'll do as Don Gentile's Shangra La with Zotz decals.
Onward and upwards!
