I note that there was a night fighter campaign run back in 2013 would there be any interest in running another perhaps later in 2017 or early 2018?

Hi Linus,
as it happens, I still have a JU-88 nightfighter in my stash. So I'm interested in your campaign, if it comes to life.

Linus,
That's a wonderful campaign proposition!
I was unaware of previous campaign on the night fighting theme (must have slipped under the radar) but I would enthusiastically build something if it happens early 2018
Let me see what my stash has...
Revell me.110G long overdue to build, Tamya Gekko (juicy!), Revell Ta.154 Moskito (this one with cockpit half made...), Eduard me.110 D/E to build an all black shark mouth.
Guess it's a hard choice
Cheers
Pedro

I wouldn't mind a late 2017 or early 18 start for this. I have F6F-5N nightfighter, or a pair of FW190 nightfighters that I wouldn't mind putting together for this.

It was "Devils in the Dark", Run by Damien back in 2013. I did an Airfix P-61. I've got two more in the stash and maybe even an F6F-5N to boot. Im interested in a 2018 start.

I would be in, preferably early 2018, with a 1/72 Dragon P-61.
For interest, inspiration and motivation:
"Devils in the Dark" ran from Jan-Jun 2013

Well, D, I've got the DML Black Widow that bought after my battle with a pre-owned Airfix P-61. Plus I picked up the Eduard F6F-5N, so I am good to go, just over campaigned at the moment.

Hiya Mark.
Much as I would like to lay claim to that Campaign, it was the Good Overlord Michael Satin who took care of business back then. My P-70 is still sitting exactly how it finished up in that campaign

Wow, 13 people interested already, and with very cool subjects proposed to build.
Sounds promising... now what about a start date?

Well that went weird. Went to a model show today and came home with Revell's old P-70 and an ancient Fujimi F4U night fighter.

No Air Campaigns commencing after 1 June so say a 1 September start with a end of 1 March 2018?

If everyone is ok with the below I will submit it.
Start Date: 1 September 2017
End Date: 1 March 2018
Operational Overview
A night fighter is an aircraft adapted for use at night.
Night fighters began to be used in World War I and included types that were specifically modified to operate at night.
During World War II, night fighters were either purpose-built or day fighters modified to be effective night fighting combat aircraft, often employing radar or other systems for providing some sort of detection capability at night (and of course the pilots eating lots of carrots).
The use of the term night fighter gradually faded away as a result of these improvements making the vast majority of fighters capable of night operation.
So lets celebrate the night shift.
The Rules and Regs
1) Entry must be a dedicated night fighter aircraft, either designed as such or modified for the job, any nationality, any time period up to 1955 and No what-ifs.
2) Model can be no more than 25% complete at the start of the campaign
3) Build logs and lots of posting are encouraged.
4) Stand alone or Dio's allowed.
5) Work in Progress Pics must be posted in the Official Campaign thread.
6) At least 2 Clear Pictures of the finished model must be posted in the Official Campaign Gallery to be awarded the Campaign Ribbon
7) Entries cannot be used for more than this campaign.
Start Date: 1 September 2017
End Date: 1 March 2018

I stand a chance of getting it done in that time frame. Now that I'm over run with night fighters.
