Got to be the phabulous, phantastic, phuturistic F-4 Phantom II. All those versions, user nations, color schemes, and weapons options. You spend a life time cranking out F-4 models and never do the same one twice!

Zach, Top-Gun hooked me on the F-14 also. I was able to see one at an airshow a few years back. (Before they grounded them from shows) I saw just about everything the U.S. had flying do some fly bys. The Tomcat was the only one to shake the ground when she went vertical. The power was awesome, and it didn't take but a couple of seconds to get out of site. That is an accomplishment for a plane that heavy. Hate to see her go. Check out my latest build in the model section. (Aircraft) Fly Navy

i think the corsair ,F-86,and P-38 are some of the best warbirds of all, but for modern i would have to say the F-16 and F-14.

I like a lot of different planes. For prop planes, The Pfalz DIII, Bf 109, P-51, and Spitfire are cool. I also have a thing for OV-10 Broncos, and Skyraiders.

For Jets, I like Me 262s and Vampires, Sabres, Early Migs, Warthogs, Su-25s, A-37 Dragonflies, B-58 Hustlers, and the century series. Phantoms are also among the best looking aircraft ever built.

Truth is, I build anything with wings!

I have the Hawker Hunter in my inventory and will be building it sometime next year. BUT I have to say that I "LIKE" the F-15E Strike Eagle. It is such an awesome and incredible Fighter Bomber, And has a SERIOUS Combat record. Not to mention it's weapons carrying capability. So yeah my vote goes to the F-15E. OKAY, OKAY, So I forgot to mention my FAV WW-2 Bird......WELL in that case the Venerable SPITFIRE get's the nod.

Hi All
Mine is the beautiful A6M5 Zero. And as a close second is the sleek F-14 Tomcat, which was manufactured right here by Grumman on Long Island.

For an operational aircraft I would have to go with the F-14 Tomcat.....ultimatly powerful machine.

An aircraft that was an almost.....I would definatly have to go with the Avro Arrow.....the greatest aircraft never was.

my all time favorites would have to be the Mosquito F/B and the P-38 Lighting.

My favorite as the Most historicly signifigant aircraft would have to go to the Spitfire and the Hurricane.

And for Jet Era aircraft I would have to say the F-104 Starfighter which has had one of the longest manufacturing runs of any aircraft.

Y'all my favorite is the sturdy P-38 Lightning. Decades ahead of it's time it handled like a jet and had nose wheels and almost as many variations as the mozzie... droop snoot, gun platform, escort fighter, interceptor, fighter, ground attack, fighter/bomber, ground support, night fighter, and all that jazz! With 4 .50s and a 20mm no kraut or jap will wanna mess with these fork tailed devils!! Bomb and rocket capabilities too... omg i can't get over it

Difficult...oh so difficult to answer.
I have no single favourite....and to list all that are would take up too much room.

However....for those who have stated the Hawker Hunter as favourite, check out the Messerschmitt Me P1110's. Remarkable similarities.

Cheers
Peter

This is a tough one. There are so many. I tend to prefer WWII warbirds so I will limit my choice(s) to that era. I'll go with the F4U - 1A Corsair or the P47 Thunderbolt. I guess mostly because they were big, powerful, multi - useful ,could take a beating and make it home and in they're own brutish way - elegant. The fact that I was raised on a dose of Black Sheep Squadron might tend to bias me a bit too!
