Sorry, not specific enough. The kit, old Airfix or a newer tool?
Hi Mark, it's the Italeri kit, new tool in 2005.

And now it's finished, just in time
Thanks for another interesting campaign!
Good luck!

Looks good, I've got the ancient Airfix flavor in the stash. Sadly I'm so bogged down with my RAF and Jolly Rogers builds, that I'm not even gonna get the fuselage closed up on my F-80.

eMan:
Great finished chopper. For me, it would be a real horror to fix the big canopy without adding scratches to it. Nicely done .
Peter:
Your A-26 look fantastic. I have to look for a similar kit in 1/72 scale. Congrats .
petbat and Jacob:
Thank You for leaving a comment. It is the second time I build the Fujimi kit. Last time was 25 years ago.
Jacob:
Sanding looks good. Have You already a primer on it?

And done:
I honestly think this looks like it's been sand blasted, left to rust and then has collected good coating of sand. Olive drab and first dust layer apparently wasn't perfect combination. I may sound bit negative, but it's done and I still kind a like it. Two more photos are in the gallery.
My understanding is that early Israeli Shermans were painted with quite dark French OD in contrast to more modern lighter desert colours.

Peter, Oliver, Lap Man, Pasi, amazing models! I have really enjoyed the variety in this campaign.
I took my eyes out of the ball this Easter break and I am afraid I will miss the deadline of the Campaign. Is is just me? Could we extend the deadline a week or so? (No worries if not.)
So far I have finished the painting. I was terrified of the NMF of my Mig-15 but I am kind of happy with it. Really easy to build model from Eduard. Tomorrow decals!
I will leave here a photo of the current state.

Ola Carlos,
No it's not only you, i was trying to "upgrade" my Sword Skynight but i got bogged down my work and put it aside and when i realised the closing date,.. anyway it's only 1 layer of black,..so a couple of day's would help however i can switch this one to hot out of the molds :-)
Thanks

OK, a one month extension to 1 June is granted. But that's it, so throttle up!

(Hopefully I won't do like I do at work. Relax until the deadline approaches again...)

Pasi: Congrats on finishing Your Sherman!
Carlos: The NMF of Your Mig looks very nice. What Color did You use and how did You have applied it?
Jan: The Skyknight looks cool already. I like to see it painted very much.
My F-86 is finished now and I am quite happy with the result, although the weathering dulled the metal finish of the Alclad Color.

Oliver, I really like your F-86. From here the weathering looks perfect.
Thanks for your comments about my Mig-15. I am using Vallejo Metal Color Aluminium. (I have been told chrome and silver look better but I haven't tried them.) It can look good and it is acrylic but I find it unforgiving. Every little overspray gives a dull finish and imperfections are impossible to correct, in either case you have to re-do the area.
Mine is full of imperfections but I was clever enough as not to pick all of them in the photo. More soon!

Beautiful work Oliver and still within the original deadline I have to say the 1950s golden era of NMF jets with colorful markings was the top. Im sad we will not see anything like that again.

This campaign is one that got by me, but with the extension, well... I'm in! Just ordered Trumpeter's F-86 for a quick build. Less than a month to go, so I hope it arrives quickly...

Okay, like Tim, the extra month has given me time to squeeze one in. I am building the venerable 1973 moulding of Tamiya's Gaz 67B field car.
Intention is to build this one, used in Korea and then captured and used by the US Army (sorry for the bad pic, best I could find)
Had an opportunity to get stuck into it this week. A quick build all up. I will be doing a few improvements to the kit, but not going overboard - i.e. not replacing the wheels even though tread is way off. Where I am at now:
Figure is from Dragon's M3 75mm GMC kit modified to fit. Not sure if I will add any others.
Cheers

This feels like progress:
This is a 45 year old kit and I almost got the fuselage seam right on the first try. Just a little touch up in front of the canopy, The join under the rudder and a bit in in front of the nose wheel.
I'll wait to finish off the divot behind the wing until after the wings are in place.
And the wings might not be too big a deal after all.
