Is this campaign happening?

I´m in too. Maybe A-26 or P-47. I have two harriers in the stash too.

On paper there are about 13 of us confirmed we are wanting to do it, so it must just need the actual proposal being submitted ? ......

I'm now not sure what to build for this though. I was going to do the 1/32 Revell Harrier, but I cant find any decent reviews of it, and the kit itself looks pretty big once complete and I dont know if thats going to work with my storage limitations.... so I may drop down to a 1/48 ... but which ....... Maybe a Harrier .. or an A10, Bronco and then I saw a Skyraider..... so much confusion lol

OK, got off of my fat behind and got it submitted. Let's see how this shapes up.

LOL, my first campaign, and I'm not even the first person to sign up. My victim of choice is the A-7 since my dad worked on them years ago. Current plan is the Hasegawa 1/72 A-7A, most likely in the Kit's VA-56 markings.

I would happily join in with a Typhoon or a Thunderbolt.

I just ordered a 1/48 phantom. I will do that for this campaign. I'll paint it for the Marines in Nam and load it out with lots of things that move mud, I promise.

I'm in with tamiya's Korean War F-51. It'll be finished in South African markings and loaded down with napalm and rockets.

I could be tempted with a Wingnut Wings J.1 but these didn't carry any external ordanance. Mostly hand held stuff thrown overboard by the rear gunner....

Well, as if Wikipedia is a totally credible source, the first sentence of their entry for the AEG J.1


It does look like one version had downward pointing guns in the rear gunner's position. Seems to fit the profile.

Ah, we are talking about different aircraft. I was referring to the Junkers J.1 - not the AEG J.1. WNW did the Junkers version....

Damn it, missed it by just a few letters. Interesting first, but sadly not an attack aircraft. Sorry.

Don't want to start an argument, but you may be looking at the wrong J.1. Junkers, in their infinite wisdom, had two aircraft with that same designation. I'm pretty confident that the airplane that Gary is talking about is this one:

which, among other things, was developed for "low level ground attack". It was one of WnW's first releases.
